    Pros

On the account management side, you have exposure to a wide range of clientele among different industries and markets which offer project diversity, which is always refreshing A huge opportunity to be creative and build a team to execute a client's vision, budget permitting of course. Summers are the downtime of the year

    Cons

Silicon Valley is constantly growing and companies come and go. A bit challenging to keep up with companies marketing strategies and movement.

I worked at Skyline Displays, Inc. full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I worked at Skyline Displays Heartland, a branch of Skyline Displays Inc. The company had an organized business model and the employees were nice.

    Cons

If you want to make a living wage working for them, you need to be a sales team member, supervisor or project manager.

I worked at Skyline Displays, Inc. full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good Pay. Wide range of experience in the Trade Show field.

    Cons

Managers will gladly let their employees take the fall for others mistakes and constantly sets them up for failure.. Upper management is aware of the issue and chooses to do nothing.

    Advice to Management

Back your employees. Train your employees properly and then trust them to do the jobs that they were trained to do. If there is an issue with an employee consistently failing at their job then don't be afraid to replace them. Do regular job reviews.

I worked at Skyline Displays, Inc. full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Skyline has some of the most dedicated people I've worked with. They believe in what they make. From the design team to the fab shop, from the art department to the print floor, from sales & marketing to customer service, there is a culture of dedication. There is also a sense of family. Many of the people wont let you down when you need their help.

    Cons

Skyline not been able to grow past their peek in mid 2000's. The Trade Show Industry is fragmented and Skyline has tremendous potential to dominate the market... they just have not yet.

    Advice to Management

To take Skyline to the next level, grow the business through acquisitions. Increase market share but keep the quality up. Also, the Dealers have too much pull and keeps Skyline from spreading it's wings.

I have been working at Skyline Displays, Inc. full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Owners are too busy with their kids athletics their presence on the business side is very limited.

    Cons

Owners are too busy with their kids athletics their presence on the business side is very limited. Even when they are present, most decisions are poorly thought-out and rarely excuted. Two profitable years in 12 years, terrible employee morale, no regard for customer service or doing whats right for the client tell you all you need to know about this company.

    Advice to Management

Corporate Skyline is a good company with solid products that should be doing much better in a market like Silicon Valley. Local management should be removed and replaced.

Flexibility in work schedule. Management is very understanding about balancing life and work.

    Cons

You won't ever be paid top dollar by working here. But it's comfortable

    Advice to Management

Pay people what they're worth, so the good employees stay rather than the employees that just do enough to get by.
