    I worked at Skyline Ultd

    Pros

Great organization that cares about its employees. Excellent benefits package and compensations. Work hours are also wonderful.

    Cons

After having to leave my position, and although I was asked about my transition and future location, there were no contracts available in the state I was moving to. The only downside to working for a government contractor. Otherwise, no complaints.

    Pros

Great skills taught and learned here. A lot of military veteran positions available, in military enviorment.

    Cons

Some challenges are that not all staff or employees are familiar with the military sytems and standards of procedure. This makes it hard for

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I would reccomend a promotion system with the contractors according to work responsilbilities and senority.

I have been working at Skyline Ultd

    Pros

Once you are in the system the communication with the HR department is not bad

    Cons

It took a while to get into the system and it felt like they did not even know the proper proceedures to get an employee cleared through the government

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have an inprocessing checklist. I was lost the first few days and I was not able to do any work because of no computer access.

    Pros

Great interaction with all kinds of people. Many opportunities to work your way up if you're patient.

    Cons

Time-off policies are skewed. Benefits are awarded on a year to year basis instead of a work ethic basis.

I have been working at Skyline Ultd

    Pros

Upper management has made a huge effort to make this a pleasant work environment, and seems to be honestly concerned about the well-being of employees.
The company is growing and prospects for advancement seem good.
An effort has obviously been made to hire compatible individuals who work well together.

    Cons

Some notable communications problems exist between departments and middle managers.
The company is still acting like a small business, when in reality it has become a large business. Therefore training and change seems to "just happen" and can be quite haphazard instead of following established processes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have clearer guidelines for job performance, schedules, deadlines, and chain of command. The small business mentality is still at work, and because clear communications processes are not in place, lower level employees may be answerable to several middle managers, producing conflicts about which items get priority and who is actually in charge.

I have been working at Skyline Ultd

    Pros

    Small company. Room to grow.

    Cons

Always responding to last minute opportunities.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Respect vacation time. This is not a military organization. Employees are not grunts.
