I worked at Skyridge Medical Center full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

meet some interesting people, work with some who work hard and others who get away with crap cause the bosses like them.

    Cons

crappy management, treated bad, favoritism for some

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try treating everyone equally. playing favoritism offends others. Don't pick on some and let others do what ever they want to do. Negativity comes from management so hard not to be negative. Appreciate who you have instead of telling them "If you don't like it, then leave!" No one should be BULLIED at their place of work!

Greed drives this company, they do not even follow guidlines for care published by major health groups.

I worked at Skyridge Medical Center part-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Great co-workers that promote team work.

    Cons

Poor managment, very profit oriented, usually at the cost of patient safety. Promotions based on whether you are in the "in" group. Management has staff convinced that there are no jobs for nurses in the community and everyone is dispensable. Interestingly they are currently offering bonuses to current employees if they can recommend a new hire. The reputation in the community is one of poor care due to overworked staff that simply do not have the time to provide care.

I worked at Skyridge Medical Center as an intern

    Pros

The facility offers different opportunities for nursing by the different departments.

    Cons

Staffing was by the numbers not by acuity. Lack of support from management created a very stressful environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't cut cost at the expense of the staff or patient's needs. Put quality care and staff support above appearances. The public can sense honesty in caring and also lack thereof.
