Current Employee – been working at Skyworks full-time for more than a year
Pros – Good benefits. Good salary. Good locations in US. Overall I enjoy working for Skyworks. I would advise working for Skyworks in most functional areas of the company.
Cons – Management will take advantage of employees. Management at Newbury Park does not seem to have the same appreciation for employees as other locations. I would advise working for Skyworks in other locations, but not necessarily ijn Newbury Park. Seems to be lack of trust of even Sr. level engineers. Management treats Sr. level engineers like technicians.
Advice to Senior Management – Continue to replace management at mid- and senior-levels. Develop a sense of trust with employees and between sites. A lot of "controls" are in place that act as barriers to excellence. If employees are worth hiring they are worth trusting.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Former Employee – worked at Skyworks full-time for more than a year
Pros – Great benefits, positive and supportive co-workers, encouragement to grow, takes care of their employees.
Cons – Some of the management there tends to play "favorites" and allows certain individuals to get away with anything while others get spoken to about the slightest mistake. There needs to be more of a balance. You also have alot of the politics and the gossip that comes from anywhere, but when management is involved in it, then thats pretty bad.
Advice to Senior Management – Be more professional, dont favor certain employees, and look at the big picture of what your employees do on a daily basis, not just zero in on the minor mistakes. This lowers morale significantly when you focus on the petty stuff and dont acknowledge the big things at all.

Current Employee – been working at Skyworks
Pros – Diverse demographic
Stability
Growing company - currently leader in its field.
Flexible work schedule
Cons – Mediocre salary/raises
Top performers not given enough motivation.
Advancement opportunities are limited
Advice to Senior Management – It's okay to give higher raises to top 5-10% performers - not everyone has to be treated on the same scale.
Please continue investing in infrastructure and new technologies.
Experience is not everything, performance is!
Need big time pay increases for older employees.

Current Employee – been working at Skyworks
Pros – I enjoy working for Skyworks because my work is challenging and interesting, my coworkers are easy to work with, there is some flexibility in the working hours, telecommuting part of the time is allowed based on job function and manager, and the senior management is good about communicating with the entire company once every quarter. In addition, the company has an end of year shutdown for about 7 to 8 working days starting before Christmas and ending after New Year's.
Cons – The company has a small company mentality when it comes to how it spends money. It does not always think long term in how it chooses to spend money.
Advice to Senior Management – I would advise the management not to be so aggressive with IT project time lines. Things are not going to go well if a project is rushed. In addition, I would suggest the management give better pay raises to the top performing employees.

Pros – over all it is a very good company, leading in the industry and good competition capability. Knowledegable people working with you .
Cons – Some Times not care the design engineer. Management team will push you as mush as they can to meet the schedule, but some time it is unrelistic.
Advice to Senior Management – Treat the design people better otherwise they are going to leave for sure. Even you have good production capability, but .
