Pros

Good managers and enginneers and good projects to work on. The CCTV systems were the most fun and interesting to me in the beginning.

Cons

Long hours sometimes if a project had to be finished on time but we got paid overtime so I can't complain too much. Some projects are out of town sometimes and take a few hours of driving each day to get there.

Advice to Senior Management

I think there should be more meetings and employee input to jobs and estimating so we can maybe help with advice since we are the ones evryday knowing how these systems go together

Pros

Interesting projects to work on, good training, great people working there that easily become friends as well as co-workers, fantastic Christmas parties!

Cons

Long days sometimes, no patience for new guys that make alot of mistakes, not enough praise for accomplishments, way to much training in the begining

Advice to Senior Management

Be more tolerant of new employees that make mistakes. Although Smartwatch is a company that deals with life safety and security, and I know that being accurate is important, but sometimes you have to remember that everyone is human and mistakes do sometimes happen. I loved working there but sometimes I felt like I was in the army or something.

Pros

None, there are no perks to this job,

Cons

the service manager has no idea on how to run a service department, he expects all service techs to help him do his job
whenever he makes a mistake he blames you or anyone else but himself.

find a new service manager, this manager has no idea.
