    Pros

Diversity of work and people I work with. Pleasant work environment with little or no stress.

    Cons

Hard to get pay increased as job description doesn't match mainstream for comparison.

    Advice to Management

Work more on researching jobs so that compensation is accurate. in most cases the HR person does a sloppy and inaccurate job.

I worked at Smith College (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good place to work! If you work in the mornings, free espresso/lattes/etc. You end up knowing a lot about what's going on on campus in terms of events because you do publicity.

    Cons

Not much to complain about, honestly. Regular trials and tribulations of a desk job where "customer" service is a big portion of the responsibility.

    Pros

Nice working environment and friendly staff. Everyone is supportive and helpful towards one another. Stress-free and not a lot of duties involved.

    Cons

There's not a lot of opportunity for promotions. Too many staff makes it hard to earn more hours.

    Advice to Management

None. The management here is great. They are all very helpful and are willing to take time to answer your questions.

    Pros

Catering staff are friendly, easy to work with, and happy to teach new skills in cooking and serving. I wasn't expecting to learn much from this job but I did!

    Cons

Inconsistent work. At the beginning of any given semester you have no idea how much you'll work, which is frustrating for budgeting.

    Advice to Management

Great place to work, thanks for creating such a great employment opportunity for students! Glad I found this as early as I did.

    Pros

The greatest thing about working at Smith is the support you get from colleagues and administrators. They are extremely understanding and always willing to help.

    Cons

The weather. The snow and the wind. At this time of the year, I don't even want to go outside. Plus, Northampton is a small town and you eventually run out of fun things to do. But it is still very trendy and special.

    Pros

The people are very friendly and willing to teach you whatever it takes to do the job

    Cons

Sometime working pace can be really slow and if you're conducting campus tours there might be no one showing up. Or sometimes there're too many people scheduled to give the same tours.
