    Pros

Contract role through Smith Hanley allowed flexibility (depends on the client). Smith Hanley set up dinners in our area to meet and network with other Smith Hanley recruiters and contractors.

    Cons

As a contract employee, opportunities to further education (PMI, six sigma, etc) for marketability in next contract position. Was unable to successfully negotiate salary increase with client at contract renewal. Little interaction day-to-day (a good thing if everything going well). Opportunities can be limited to what contract positions are available in your geographical area.
