I have been working at Smith's Food & Drug full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

On rare occasions you'll come across an amazing store director or department manager that not only aces the job, but is also great with associates. If you find one of these managers, learn everything you can from them.

    Cons

Befriend the store director and you're set. An option for those who prefer to "delegate" rather than work. Most of the time, climbing the corporate ladder and climbing the social ladder are one and the same. A number of managers and associates have walked away free from some truly awful and some very unethical situations, it's unsettling to say the least.

    Advice to Management

What's the plan when morale hits rock bottom?
