    I worked at Snyder's-Lance full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Pay and health benefits are half way decent

    Cons

Supervisors and managers are the worst I have ever worked for. They talk behind your back with other employees and make you feel you are worthless. Ever since Snyder's merged with Lance they are even worse.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take some classes or training on how to treat people.

    Pros

Decent pay. If you work 12 hr shift, 4 days on and 4 days off, you cannot be forced to work overtime

    Cons

Work is not appreciated. If not in the "click" you are out of luck. Write up happy.

    Pros

excellent products...sell well.. well known. Customers ask for them!

    Cons

Local management runs this warehouse like a family owned business! Nepotism, cronyism, and worst of all! ALWAYS CLOSED! Hurts sales!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

this not a family owned business anymore " we are publicly traded" act like a major corp...warehouse hours are the same as our customers receiving hours..hurts sales! I'm only 1 driver who sells over 1/2 million $ a yr. for your stock holders!,TAKE NOTE

Current Employee - IBO in Jacksonville, NC

I have been working at Snyder's-Lance full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Work alone be your own boss.

    Cons

Route price was evaluated too high.

Percentage for sales is too low, needs to be higher to make a living.

Weekly sales average isn't what they said it would be.

You have to pay for all your expenses/benefits. Gas, insurance, etc, etc.

If you receive deliveries to a bin the distributor will send you close dated items or either out of date items.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give IBO's a higher percentage 20% across the board so they can make a living and pay their bills. Believe it not some have these thing called mortgages, children, insurance, etc.

Tell your district manager's to lay off with the car salesman routine when trying to sell a route. These routes aren't all what this company talked them up to be.

I would have remained employed at my previous job (Snyder's-Lance major competitor) if I knew everything I know now about this company.
