    I worked at SoHo full-time

    Pros

If you like accessories and especially hair trends, this is the company you want to work for. Deals with a lot of fun events, products, and customers. You may transfer from one location to another because it is dispersed throughout the country.

    Cons

There is lack of organization and a lot of overtime although this may differ depending on the position. The company culture is still too monocultural even though the client pool has been expanded to multicultral level.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think the HR department needs to really encourage the CEOs of the changes that need to take place in order for this company to grow. If certain changes are not made, the high turnover rate within the company will continue to take place.

I worked at SoHo part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

At one point we started working like 5 days a week and made good money, but the sales approach we have to use may not be the best (we worked in a booth)

    Cons

....we worked in a booth and i hated annoying people with accessories trying to get them to put it on...

I worked at SoHo full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

You learn how to work with the most unorganized & difficult people.

    Cons

They overwork you, lack of adjusting to diversity in culture, & they lack in training new employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

CEOs need to either take business courses & be more open minded. The products are beautiful, but there's no passion for customers or products.

I worked at SoHo full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

No pros, company does not care about you

    Cons

Many challenges. Employees are constantly quitting. Management is horrible the worst I have ever worked with. They will make you work crazy hours and not care about your life outside of work. Horrible working conditions, big cultural difference. (korean culture) They will hire you quickly if your not working to their standards. Very unprofessional. Worst job I have ever taken.

Need to change everything and be able to work in American business if they want their company to survive.

I have been working at SoHo part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

The pay is nice due to the hourly and commission.

    Cons

    Work alone.
A lot of pressure to meet sales.
    Standing up.
    No breaks.
    Inconsistent hours.
    Boss is rude.
    Products are cheap.
Hard to sell $200 plastic clips.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop being buttholes and be kind and not sell cheap stuff.

I have been working at SoHo part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Depending on the owner it can be quite fun, as long as you work hard you can get commission!

    Cons

Its retail and a sales job... Blek.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Since most of the factories are in China the quality of the products have gone down hill and I do not like how the crystals are no longer a free service, I think its giving the comapany a bad image. On the plus side I like knowing one day you can become an owner not just a manager.
