Pros
You get a pension. You can also go anywhere in the company. Management can be tough - as in there is a ton of work to do, but the pay is worth it.
Cons
You have twice as much work as you can do. It's super hard to get into the company. It's best to start as a contractor, meter reader, or a call center rep.
Advice to Senior Management
It would be great if you hired more people so that the ones you have don't have too much work to do.
Pros
stable job to have at times like these
Cons
bad management at my base
Pros
Good benefits, flexiblity and great people to work with.
Cons
Office politics as usual. Managers are not necessarily good managers of people.
Pros
Good Pay for a part time job. You get benefits once you reach 1000 hrs. of work time. Also, If you like something that's out of the office cubicle, this is the job for you.
Cons
Pretty much no time for career advancement due to AMI (Automated Meter Infrastructure). All meter reading employees are "at will", which means you can be fired at any moment, for any reason management deems fit.
Advice to Senior Management
Much better communication with employees, and better opportunities for advancement, such as job training, and interships in other areas besides just business and marketing.
Pros
A great place to work if you want to be overpaid and underworked. I came from a non-profit organization and the work load at SCG was nothing comparatively.
Cons
Sometimes it got boring. It is a "who you know" more than a "what you know" for advancement
Advice to Senior Management
Keep helping employees learn and grow. it will benefit everyone
