I have been working at Social Security Administration full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are great, decent pay, low stress, leave work at the office and don't take it home, co-workers are great and love the mix of admin and legal in my job.

    Cons

Would be nice if starting pay was more negotiable but the pay is still great for my area. Hopefully after the probationary period my pay will increase a bit.

you don't take work home with you. union represents your interests. schedules are flexible to a degree.

    Cons

can be tedious and monotonous at times. documenting everything according to policy and regulations leaves less room for independence.

    Advice to Management

keep up the great work and communications. training is helpful and the only thing I would add are teambuilding exercises to encourage cohesion among employees.
