    Pros

    - Best benefits I've seen, ever
    - Decent salary
    - Casual atmosphere
    - Decent culture

    Cons

    - No room for advancement, someone has to die or move for you to take their spot
    - Management is not very competant

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the older folks who were in SWIFT during the 'golden days' and got promoted every week. It's killing the growth because the newer hires cannot advance due to the disgusting amount spent on promotions years ago

    Pros

    - Great benefits (I mean really exceptional benefits)
    - Reasonable work/life balance (stressful periods but overall a good balance)
    - Good co-workers

    Cons

    - Risk averse in the extreme (almost zero innovation - "old" management is the worst)
    - No advancement opportunities (so many 30 year senior managers well past their prime)
    - Dictatorial/micromanaging upper management (raised voices and "my way or the highway" approach is common)

    Advice to Management

You are not always correct. Getting angry all the time does not make you more right. Really value the employees instead of just paying lip service to "caring." Do not confuse people being comfortable in their jobs as bring happy in their jobs.

    Pros

    Good salary and excellent benefits.

    Cons

Upper management are clueless. HR is a joke and run by someone who has no HR experience and does not have the best interest of the employee in mind.

    Advice to Management

Re-visit what made this company great BEFORE lean. Value those that work 24/7 and schedule extracurricular activities that everyone can participate in. Share the wealth during bonus time with those that actually make the KPIs happen. (Less for management and more for the mainstream employees). Re-visit the new bonus requirements.

    Pros

    good benefits
    great salary
    plenty of training opportunities
a place you can be proud to work in
a chance to travel and learn a lot of different cultures

    Cons

almost impossible for a woman to advance
    too many reorgs
LEAN took a great toll on skilled staff
watch your back, even the best of the best get cut and replaced by lower level new hires

    Advice to Management

    think outside the box
clean up your HR department and get a strong team to meet your business needs and also to protect staff
look at what the rest of the business world is doing
listen to your worker bees, your true SME's

    Pros

Swift is a Society for the Banks. If you are looking for steadiness in your career and good growth opportunities, then Swift is the place to be.
Great Benefits package. You start with 4 weeks of vacation, good medical/dental benefits, a pension plan and an excellent 401k package.

    Cons

A large number of senior candidates thus making growth at higher levels too stunted.

However, a great company to work for if you are in the long haul.

    Advice to Management

It is important to find growth opportunities within Swift for staff who have been here a long time and feel blocked as there are no opportunities. This is causing some staff to feel rebuked and neglected.

Importantly, the extra emphasis given to young graduate program will leave existing employees with a bad taste if not handled correctly.
