Used to better, but still good

GM, Food and Nutrition (Current Employee)
    Philadelphia, PA

ProsCo-managers, ability to make a difference in a unit

ConsNo cross divisional advancement opportunities. Little room for growth.

Advice to Senior ManagementPractice what you preach in terms of encouraging DM's to let GM's move cross-divisionally.
Take a hard look at your RVP's and make sure they are a good fit with your client population.

Be prepared to work long hours

    Manager (Current Employee)
    Los Angeles, CA

ProsGreat advancement, especially if you are willing to move

ConsLONG hours. Worked at several accounts and 11-12 hour days and working from home is the norm

Advice to Senior ManagementQuality of life is a tag line not just for the logo and business cards.

Mediocre even as a student worker

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
    Davis, CA

ProsThe main plus of working as a food service worker is the free food. It almost makes up for the abyssmal wage and the fact that patrons aren't allowed to tip you.

ConsThe compensation for food service workers is atrocious, especially considering the incredibly mediocre work environment. The hours aren't very flexible, and as a part-time position its hard to build your life around as a student.

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat the food service workers with some respect

    Think twice

    Human Resources Assistant (Former Employee)

Great job but it's only seasonal

    Food Service Worker (Current Employee)
    Poughkeepsie, NY

ProsManagement posts whenever there are extra shifts available. They give you two breaks first one is a 15 minute break and the second one is a half of hour break. Employee discount is awesome (free food because it's 100% employee discount). You also get a free uniform and plus it's also a union job so if your fulltime then you get health benefits and also 401K benefits

ConsSome co-workers love to gossip about pretty much everyone. Whenever extra shifts become available it's based on seniority and the people with seniority will try to act like they are your boss. Pay could be better!
