I have been working at Sodexo USA full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

The company is enthusiastic about training and developing people and if you are a good performer there are ample opportuities for promotions. There plenty of resources and ways to enhance leadership skills while on the job and through network groups.

    Cons

Depends on the account. Some can be challenging for a variety of reasons such as a new account start-up but the company support does help.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some of the new programs and additional support to help open up new business have been phenomenal. Keep it up!

    Pros

    Good benefits/Paid vacation/Sick time/401 K/Retirement

    Cons

Average to below average wages for Hourly AND Salary employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ive noticed most Gm's would rather hire a salary employee from the outside.Plenty of "in house " employees are capable and should be seriousy considered for non union roles.Especially when their resume shows commitment and strong work ethic..

    I worked at Sodexo USA

    Pros

Accounts across the country so there is opportunity to move locations
    Good pay/benefits for salaried managers
When positions come available, they look internal first giving current employees opportunities to move up

    Cons

Your experience at Sodexo is very dependent on who your district manager is. Some are great, others are not. There is not a lot of leadership training available so many managers just don't know how to do their jobs.
You are expected to commit a lot of time to Sodexo before you will be given an opportunity to really get promoted. In order to "move up the ladder" you're required to bounce from account to account and will not make senior management until you've proven that you drank the Sodexo Kool-Aid. Many of the senior managers are only senior managers because they've been at Sodexo the longest.

    I worked at Sodexo USA

    Pros

Employee bennfits are outstanding for management and not hourly employees.

    Cons

Corporate Services allows managers to hire family members and friends at the same accounts. Sodexo looks for ways to skirt around Unions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Review all Corporate Services Accounts and you will see a ton of employee issues.
