    Pros

Great people, great work culture, many challenges and new experiences with opportunity to travel as well.

    Cons

Slow to promote or cross train for advancements. Must work Holidays and weekends, with night duties common.

    Pros

Great Potential if Upper Management is open to new ideas

    Cons

Quit the backstabbing, the gossip and favoritism. Spend more time learning and doing your job and less time trying to figure out how to sabotage employees who you personally do no care for. I have seen some incredible employees get fired, or forced to leave only because upper management did not like them on a personal level.

    Advice to Management

Stop being Hippocrates and act professionally, is easy to make your money when you are mediocre.

    Pros

Discounts at other Accor properties when traveling.

    Cons

Bullying by superiors, harrassment by superiors, no opportunities for advancement, company does not want to invest in your future or your skills, does not provide you with the necessary tools to do your job. Overall an incredibly negative, controlling environment.

    Advice to Management

Consider lower level employees important instead of just focusing on your executive team. There are so many problems with the way your executive team treats your mid-level employees and that is why the Chicago property has so much turnover.

    Pros

Free food. It's an ok place if it's your first job to get a few months experience. You will learn how not to treat others.

    Cons

If you are not one of H.R.'s "favorites" then you'll never have a chance of surviving. Extremely political, more so then most companies. If the managers don't like you they will make up lies to get you written up and eventually fired.

    Advice to Management

Quit the backstabbing, the gossip and favoritism. Spend more time learning and doing your job and less time trying to figure out how to sabotage employees who you personally do no care for. 10. Below Standard

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

I worked at Sofitel Hotels full-time

    Pros

The people in front line are the only positive element from this hotel. A lot of work to be done so the task is very far from boring. A good job for someone that likes working under pressure.

    Cons

Standard as low as expected of the only 5 star in Rabat. Lots of work needed in all departments. The management is unorganized and usually takes one step in the right direction then three in the wrong one.

    Advice to Management

Put in place standard operating procedures and logistics; make sure the implement them and have strong supervision. Create bonds between front line and management in order to keep the standards in place and overseen.

    Pros

Nice property with a good name on the market..nice salary package

    Cons

Very rude high management, lot of politics, intrigues and manipulation (especially from DOS), no teamwork or any cooperation not a nice place to work at all

    Advice to Management

Hire a proper leaders as for the excoms, that are able to mentor and guide and develop future leaders being an example with empathy and professionalism
