    Good place to work.
Pretty conducive work environment and staff are co-operative. Work atmosphere is friendly and colleagues have supported well in times of need.
Several instances within projects keep coming up to perform and exhibit solution oriented approach coupled with technical expertise.
Overseas projects to client site keep coming up which gives good opportunities to employees for personal development, career growth and enrichment.
Salary at SoftDEL is on par with the prevalent market standards.

    Cons

Can't mention any specific con, but there are rooms for overall.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus needs to be maintained more on sales. Considering the in-house expertise, staff oriented training programs should be scheduled.

I have been working at SoftDEL Systems full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

If you are lucky you might get a good project to work otherwise curse your luck and search a new job.

    Cons

    1. Real bad senior management, make very frequent trips to abroad for projects and seldom the visit turns into a business deal.
    2. Your manager will never share any happenings in senior management (mine is like that only)
    3. They changes the policies without notifying the employess and many times in back date.
There are certain instances that policy has been changed lets say on 31/08/14 and they mention that this policy is in effect since 30/06/14. I have faced the same thing when one of my colleague resigned, they changed the policy after his resignation and said it's in effect from long time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Grow up and start believing in your roots (the software developers)

I have been working at SoftDEL Systems full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

I kicked off my career with SoftDel as a developer and eventually scaled up to beome an architect

    - Having worked in multiple firms(3 to be exact) before joining SoftDel, I can definitely say my tenure in SoftDel has been the most ebullient, sumptuous and promising when compared with the previous firms.
    - The ample opportunities you will come across truely strengthen your over-all expertise ; thereby resulting in a much needed broadened learning experience.
    - A very unique front where this firm stands out is the apprecialtion you will receive for all the assiduous efforts you put in. Unlike other organizations, SoftDel leaders(managers and upper authority) have a grateful attitude towards employess who are ready to take up challenges and then exceed the expectations in delivery.
    - Other pros would include work environment conducive to technical as well as personal growth, deep-founded work ethics, genuinely creative workforce, amicability of senior leadership and abundance of diversified project work.
    - If you have a penchant for real-world problem-solving and you are a genuine go-getter, this is undoubtedly one the most promising firm for you to be in

    Cons

    - At times, working hours might exceed for sure depending on the project. But as mentioned in pros, your efforts won't go unnoticed.
    - The organization can definitely try to build up expertise and bring in projects under varied domains.

Infusion of new blood in the organization resulted in to changed environment. This is my 4th job and I can say that I have a chosen a right place to be in. You get an excellent support from your colleagues and superiors. Leadership team has a clear vision and there are clear signs of exponential growth of the organization. Compensations are at par with the market. There are huge amount of positive vibes all across the company and that has influnced my professional life as well.

    Pros

SoftDEL works across Japan, Germany and USA with an amazing set of clients in the industrial controls / networking space. Its portfolio of services and products give engineers hands-on experience in cutting edge technologies. The work environment is professional, good people get recognized and pushed to do more if they are capable and ambitious. Pay scales are on par with industry standards. Great small company to work for.

    Cons

Industry recognition and public face needs improvement.

Poor Senior Management - Family Owned UNPROFESSIONAL Business Environment

Former Employee - Engineering Manager in Pune (India)
Former Employee - Engineering Manager in Pune (India)

I worked at SoftDEL Systems full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Till yesterday I was Manager at SoftDEL. It takes me a lot of effort to find out Pros of this company and the Management.

    - Dev and QA Team which I headed was super. Initially the company has got nice people for the project.
    - The company pays well. It may be their way of retaining / attracting employees. I joined the company because of the pay.

    Cons

Ah ! There are a lot many.

    - Senior Management is extremely poor. The company is basically headed by family members who (from the inherited wealth) started this venture.
    - Senior Management has zero experience of Software Development and Project Life Cycle.
    - Products are expected to be bug free. This puts a lot of pressure on Engineering team leading to attrition.
    - Please get work time and work days clarified with HR at the time of joining. This company calls employees on Weekends and holidays - Regularly.
    - Product Development instructions are given orally without any thing in writing by the people who are completely unaware of the Software Development lifecycle. This leads to extremely chaos during working on products.
    - Cafeteria is worst, unhealthy and unheigynic.
    - System (Computers) infrastructure is extremely poor.
    - Senior Management has no trust on Managers. Only Family members are trusted.
    - Very very irregular pay cycle. Attention New Joiners: Please get verified about pay cycle dates at the time of HR Interview Round.
    - Colonial 'Sir' , 'Madam' culture.
    - Threats of employee lay-off in the name of 'Chanakya Neeti'. Zero job security.
    - There are high frequency electro mechanical components placed all across office which is causing frequent headaches, amnesia and pain in abdomen. Please understand this matter seriously prior to joining the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior Managers, Come out of family ties and act professionally with your staff. Organize yourself to get the company organized. Provide better and hygienic work environment.

I worked at SoftDEL Systems full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

I was associated with the company for several years. It is hard to find any Pros about it however let me try.

    - Compensation is okay-to-good. Their formula for laterals is straight. Number of years multiplied by 2 lacs. For example: If someone is 3 years of experience, s/he could strike a deal at 6 lac.

    Cons

Oh yes - There are many.

    - Completely unprofessional environment.
    - One example is : Salary happens on 7th of every month. The reason - Well, the reason is Founders of SoftDEL come from Manufacturing background and years back Manufacturing companies of Pune were paying salaries on 7th.
    - Strict control over personal activities (such as how many times one goes to washroom, how many times one takes personal calls on cell phones etc.)
    - There is no single person who can take firm decision. Everything happens 'at wish' and 'at mercy' of their founding members.
    - Pay may seem high BUT it is a trap.
    - There is very dirty cafeteria. Every senior member of Management team brings their own water since most of them come by car.
    - Saturday is a working day ! - Please get this clarified at the time of interview process.
    - There is a Bond (for a year / 6 months / 3 months etc.) and the conditions in the bond include "deactivation of LinkedIn profile" and "in-active" status in Job Sites. They feel very insecure if one is looking for job !
    - Strong adherence to 'Sir' 'Madam' culture.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Get a life, Sirs. We study to come in IT to enjoy its benefits. We are not bonded labors. You can not force people to come on Saturday / Holidays etc throughout the year. Have trust on your employees ! Stop firing innocent people.
