I have been working at SolarWinds full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Big opportunities to grow your professional career, friendly people and good atmosphere.

    Cons

There are only few hours every day to communicate with the U.S., so sometimes you can end up your working day around 6 PM.

I worked at SolarWinds full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Some great people to work with. Good banter.
Free lunch a couple of time and close to Mahon Point for shopping on your break.
Very generous with bonuses and acknowledge the work you put in.
It's a job where you get back as much as you put in

    Cons

It can be stressful at times but thats just the nature of the job

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work. Over the last 6 months the company has gone from strength to strength with some new faces in management. Manager Wayne and VP Sales Peter are two new faces who bring efficiency and a great charm to the job.

    Pros

Fun work environment... not too many places let you play table tennis and sometimes managers join in.
    Great earning potential.
Their business model brings about the kind of growth figures other software companies can only envy and will start copying (Inside Sales is Solarwinds).
    Fantastic co-workers.

    Cons

Could do more to roll out a career path the way they do world class software.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It's good that you're listening and recent changes reflect this company being EMEA through and through: the last few managers hired replace either American managers or people brought up in the American way. It's encouraging you are now promoting from within although talented salespeople aren't always management material...try career plan to discover hidden talent on the floor!

I have been working at SolarWinds full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The commission rocks here and my monthly take home pay is on average EUR1000 more than other companies. In my view Solarwinds is the best sales job in Cork. Not saying it's an easy gig but this is the New York of Inside Sales and the place you gotta prove yourself in if you want to be the best. Company gym. Free soft drinks, confectionary, hot beverages and yoghurts. Free lunch Wednesdays. Free coffee Friday. Cash spiffs. Subsidized cinema tickets. Nice location/office/business park. Sound management and work colleagues... the people here really make Solarwinds! They know how to celebrate, and company nights out involve plenty of drink vouchers.

    Cons

Even though all good sales people get a buzz from being outside their comfort zone, sometimes there's a tendency by management here to try to speed up the sales cycle when a considered approach might work better in some cases. That said they give very honest feedback and you learn quickly in this environment!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep up the positivity!

Fast pace - if you're for a fast rapid change
Variety of projects to participate on
    Various offices to work with
Personally I see them in very optimistic light, considering future
Relax zones - TVs, game room
They accept your mistake if you learn from it

    Cons

Fast pace - if you're for a stabile environment
Small chance to travel, again this depends on your opinion

I have been working at SolarWinds full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Fast Paced, Energetic Staff, Great pay, ATTAINABLE quotas (for the sales folks out there) free lunches two days per week, sodas, snacks are free, and the staff feels like family. I've been here three years and have been on two fully paid club trips Florida and Costa Rica. I was able to bring family along with me and it was a blast. I've also had the opportunity give suggestions to improve processes, and see those go into affect and help us do better as a team. Overall fantastic place to work!!! If you're looking for a small company feel, but with big company money then this is your place.

    Cons

Only cons would be that we have growing pains associated with adding products via acquisitions. Some of the products are hard to learn and sell, but overall it keeps you thinking and on your toes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start building features into our existing products versus purchasing companies, and for gods sake please simplify our licensing. I've been here for years and still have trouble explaining it to customers. A simple node based licensing would work with 90% of our products.

I have been working at SolarWinds full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The pros are.... Opportunities..Do you want to work in a fast paced professional inside sales organisation? Do you want to earn a basic salary of 30K and an OTE of 60K with uncapped earning potential, VHI for you and family/partner. Free parking,Gym, Commission and Pension?
SolarWinds are growing at 30% a year and the EMEA centre of excellence in Cork is expanding. SolarWinds are in aggressive acquisition mode. Sales fuels this growth and growth equals job satisfaction, Job security and Opportunity.

    Cons

It is the hardest "Sales Gig" in town and is not for the faint hearted.Training and induction consists of 1 week....Hey we're getting better :)The Sales Managers will push you to reach your potential and targets over and beyond. They will push you to the limit and you will reap the rewards. SolarWinds Reward Success. It is not for everyone and our recruitment process is now stringent, comprehensive and detailed...I know because I am the recruiter for Solarwinds. Remember ...Its not for the faint hearted but its the best sales gig for the best ISRs in town

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you are doing...Growth of 30% a year. Aggressive expansion and acquisition mode. How many companies can claim that today??
