    Pros

Some great people to work with. Good banter. Free lunch a couple of time and close to Mahon Point for shopping on your break. Very generous with bonuses and acknowledge the work you put in. It's a job where you get back as much as you put in

    Cons

It can be stressful at times but thats just the nature of the job

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. Over the last 6 months the company has gone from strength to strength with some new faces in management. Manager Wayne and VP Sales Peter are two new faces who bring efficiency and a great charm to the job.

    Pros

Big opportunities to grow your professional career, friendly people and good atmosphere.

    Cons

There are only few hours every day to communicate with the U.S., so sometimes you can end up your working day around 6 PM.

    Pros

Great people, good benefits, friendly atmosphere, interesting product, clever people around.

    Cons

Solving customer issues has greater priority than developing new features, which can bother some developers.

    Advice to Management

Buy more performant hardware. Improve communication between teams in different locations.

    Pros

The company takes interest in development of their employees and solid continuous performance doesn't go unnoticed. Top technical people whose goal is to grow have no problem travelling (can visit conferences or go on business trips to colleagues overseas).

    Cons

From engineering point of view, sometimes too strongly driven by business needs. This manifests as growing technical debt (rewriting a bad-performing part of system gets deferred several releases until the customer base complains loud enough). But this is changing as more teams are moving to agile with technical product owner.

    Advice to Management

Grant more deciding power to the engineering and to individual people. Try to be a little faster with approvals in general.

    Pros

fast-paced, successful company. good pay/bonus amounts, 401k matching, free lunches & snacks, beautiful building. fun, smart co-workers.

    Cons

most of the stuff you see at a growing software company: it can be chaotic, departments aren't always coordinated, it's kind of sink or swim sometimes.

    Advice to Management

keep trying to find the perfect blend of process, speed, and flexibility. make executive management accountable for the management decisions of the line managers - get feedback from employees and get rid of bad managers.

    Pros

Free lunch (Twice a week) After business hours, no work (No on-call, etc) Energetic Something different all day No travel (Unlike other Sales Engineers)

    Cons

Calls get boring after a while. On the phone after a while.

    Advice to Management

Stop buying crapy companies and focus on the core.

    Pros

Fast growth, ability to shape the company (current results and future), global teams, smart team members, promote from within

    Cons

You need to draw boundaries yourself (work/life) - there is so much opportunity, you could work 24 hours a day and not grab it all

    Advice to Management

    Make hard decisions fast(er)

    Pros

Good place for people who are self-directed Lots of colleagues who are both smart and bright Plenty of opportunities to learn new things Fair compensation Challenging work Once you've proven yourself, management does listen to employees here Exceptional at explaining the vision and the model so that employees understand what they need to do to support the business Only example I have ever seen of successful offshoring, with great international colleagues

    Cons

Not a good fit for people who like a lot of structure or need a lot of guidance on how to do their jobs If you're not working out, they will quickly let you go (BTW to me this is a good thing--this company doesn't carry deadbeats on its back or payroll) Some normal growing pains given its size and industry In US, less than standard holidays and poor PTO policies Draconian legal department interferes with business in ridiculous ways Sometimes penny wise and pound foolish on spending money for business

    Advice to Management

As we grow it's going to be difficult to keep the magic that makes us good. I hope you are focusing on that and also on the "penny wise and pound foolish" thing. That approach doesn't scale at some point, and to me, we are at that point.
