    Pros

The company culture made Sole Tech a fun place to work and you always felt like you were working with your family.

    Cons

Tough economy and market place made it too hard to stay due to uncertainty.

  2. I worked at Sole Technology

    Pros

If you can stand the fake comrade and gossip, like a teenager, you'll love it

    Cons

Behind every smile is a me, me, me attitude. Beware!

    Advice to Management

Management is the worst assorted bunch of vain privileged humans to behold.

    Pros

Sole Tech is a small to mid sized privately owned footwear and apparel company based in Skateboarding roots. Good processes, good people. Great culture.

    Cons

Sole Technology is located way out in the foothills. Despite good intentions, elements of the executive leadership may be somewhat disconnected from the end consumer.

    Advice to Management

Fortune favors the bold. Despite being privately held, Sole Tech is slow to move and react. Large public companies act more entrepreneurial.

    Pros

There is a great group of people leading Sole Tech. The environment is positive and people enjoy working with one another. Culture is generally relaxed.

    Cons

Market pressures have constrained budgets and there has been some challenges with compensation, internal growth, and marketing direction of brands.

    Advice to Management

Only choose leadership that really wants to be there, there were a lot of folks that were in a management role that phoned it in sometimes and prevented the company from moving foward.

    Pros

I worked here for many years. I grew up with the people at Sole. I hear it's super corporate now but I had a wild time. Great culture!

    Cons

Personal development and growth was non existant though. Very political and the organization had it's structural flaws. I would not trade that time for anything, but you work here for the name of the company, not for the reputable knowledge you would gain here. Other than Becky, HR was a gossip fest, which is never a good sign.

    Advice to Management

Stop being the cool guy club. It get's old. I was told once by my boss that Piere didn't want me to speak to riders for work issues because I didn't have tats and he did not see me being the face of the project. If that is true or not it was a rough pill to swallow. HAHA In the real world that does not matter.

Not enough if you ask me. It's going to be a while to turn their biggest boat around

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Easy going casual work enviorment. Friendly people. Passionate owner.

    Cons

Company does not promote from within as much as they could. Lots of valuable employees hit a "dead end" and end up takinging off to other companies.

    Advice to Management

Work with employees on plans for personal growth within the company.

    Pros

The benefits were decent and being able to dress casually.

    Cons

The management was poor, they were only concerned with made them looked good. Communication from management was horrible and the ability to professionally was not there.

    Advice to Management

Work as a team, instead of always working as five different department against each other.
