    I worked at Solidus

    Pros

Company is very people oriented as evidenced by their excellent benefits.
    Work is interesting and challenging.
    Allways something new to learn.

    Cons

The government contracting business has it's own mode of operation which can be overbearing. This reflects on the type of business not on Solidus.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recruiting staff should increase their knowledge of software terminology to improve translation between contract requirments and employee capabilities. Connect directly with hiring managers for better assessment of actual requirements vs. job descriptions which may be generic.

I have been working at Solidus for less than a year

    Pros

One of the attractions of this company was their benefits.

    Cons

UNPROFESSIONAL handling of application. They force you to sign a 45-day resume exclusivity agreement before they do anything, they interrogate your references BEFORE there is any serious consideration for ANY job, and when you haven't heard anything back, they won't even respond to your emails when you try to find out what happened. If you want to work at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, DON'T use Solidus -- you'll be wasting your time!
