Advice to Senior Management
Retain the core and the Leaders
Pros
There are a lot of opportunites at SonicWALL if you are willing to reach for them. Often those opportunities require the usual amount of politicing, but the opportunies are there if you choose to take them. Pay is fair and communiction is open for the most part.
Cons
Documentation and guidance can be spotty at times, but that can also spin to a possitive (see opportunities in Pros section). Cross department communication can be difficult at times depending on the departmnet.
Advice to Senior Management
Mix up the managment team. Bring in new players from other companies. Top layers of management have all been together for 5-6 years. Time to mix it up, and reach farther to the next level of growth.
Pros
Decent pay, benefits, 401K match
Cons
Management has a lot of ideas and gets started on new ones prior to finishing old ones. Need to complete things prior to engaging in new ones.
Political!
Advice to Senior Management
Look into staff. Are they adequate? If not, why did you hire them?
Pros
Ok at times; was better before we were bought by bankers
Cons
Unrealistic quotas and no advancement opportunities
Pros
- WorkLife balance could not be better.
- Great Manager in my case. The only real good thing actually.
- Can get time off at any point.
Cons
- Executives are very vary of risk and hence no investment in game changing products
- Growth prospects are near nil
- Little or no challenge at work.
- Salary is way below the average of the industry
Advice to Senior Management
- Invest in the future.
Pros
Good to start as fresher
Continuous learning - depends on self effort also
Given training if required
Fair in work distribution
Flexible timing and WFH option - work life balance
Free Cab and food facility
Clean and nice work place
Cons
Pay not upto the mark
Employees are not getting much benefits compared to other private sector companies.
Compensation increment also is not up to the mark.
Management is not bothered to retain the talents for long duration.
Advice to Senior Management
Can provide good food :)
Pros
Can learn something --but purely on self interest
Cons
Very poor employee care.
HR team and management needs to start from LKG to learn what is employee care . The have to improve and learn a lot from a lot of other good companies .
These people don't know what is good management and employee care . All they are concerned about is making money (even by betraying employees on silly benefits --cheap behavior)
They brag a lot as if they are "THE BEST COMPANY" in the world , but after entering inside you will realize you are in hell .
Be very careful in your salary negotiations , Don't even expect any promises they make to come true .
The manager are well trained by management to act with employees and betray them on the benefits (but extract most out them --absolute "professional 21st century slavery" by wicked ruthless management)
They are happy to do anything to motivate employees (false promises) "but absolute care to minimize the money spent towards the benefit of an employee")
short term vision
No work life balance .
Advice to Senior Management
Please be open to admit an accept the bad anti-employee practices and be ready for changes
Give up the poor attitude of being adamant to old practices. Learn to respect employees an treat them fairly
Take initiatives to bring about changes --don't just be like cowards
Don't succumb to politics
Provide independence to employees an don't treat them like school kids
Pros
At least in the engineering team, they are very flexible on working hours and the office is usually empty until 10 in the morning.
Cons
Low salaries. Most likely due to poor managers who cannot evaluate people's capabilities properly. Little communication between teams. Virtually no possibility of advancement. Poor organisation and operations.
Advice to Senior Management
Better salaries, less talk, more action.
Pros
good platform for freshers good work environment
Cons
small company, less employees, one branch in india
Advice to Senior Management
no
