    Pros

    Easy money, easy going management.

    Cons

Not enough pay. Experience doesn't translate to the real world.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You're doing everything one would expect from a University with every student applying to the same position. Things probably won't change much especially if Arminana is calling the shots.

    Pros

Great if you are a student here, you can learn a lot

    Cons

Hopefully there will be more opportunities to grow in the future for other students. Other than that, I could not be happier with my experience here as a student and as an employee.

I have been working at Sonoma State full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits are great (health insurance, education, sick/vacation time), inspiring to work in higher education since so many opportunities to learn and work with interesting young students.

    Cons

The difficulty lies in the pay---they always hire at the bottom of the 'range' with almost no chance whatsoever to move up the payscale. If you come from the private sector it can be a shock to work in a complex bureaucracy like a public university. Not a dynamic, agile environment for putting ideas into practice if you are on the staff or admin.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Create clear pathways for training and advancement and be transparent about those opportunities.

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Small team, relaxed environment, good money.

    Cons

Oh no! I'd love to say that there are cons to this job, but I really love it. I'd do more of it, all the time, if I could. Good cons right?

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep being awesome.
