- Overall good environment with little office politics.
- Can initiate projects you want to work on.
- Good structure and framework to learn and grow.
- Company discounts on Sony products.
Cons
- Too enamored of past successes. The older and long-time employees are always talking about Sony's good old days.
- Company culture is too risk averse. They do the same old things over and over again.
- Too many ineffective middle managers.
- Compensation was lower than average. (disclaimer: I have heard remuneration has improved)

Needs a reality check.
Pros
Cool products. Diverse workforce. Multiple career paths. Very nice office and onsite gym. Management's support for career growth.

Overly complex structure. Too many systems. Management slow to respond to changing market conditions. Politics. Tokyo control.

Redefine the company/industry. Deploy better judgement on large investments, and product launches. Align costs with industry benchmarks.
