overall great co-workers and lots of projects means good exposure if youre willing to take on the extra work

    Cons

Hard to be heard unless you are management, not a lot of time or effort put in to understanding or caring about those 1-5 years into their career.

    Pros

    Results Only Work Environment
Challenging business releasing 15-20 new SKUs each Tuesday
Demand Planning is vital to running businesses properly (in terms of Core 6 KPIs/improvement)
Focus on cost savings has resulted in $250M unspent in the past 5 years, while revenues have been cut in half
    Growth initiatives on the horizon
Provides ability to learn revenue-sharing, scan-based-trading, liquidation, cash flow, retail business models across hundreds of accounts
(Adjusted) Budgets are typically met, meriting bonuses

    Cons

    Constant reorganizations
Unwarranted executive public promises become lies
Lack of strategy (constant reaction creates reorganizations)
No employee enhancement opportunities / no focus on career development
Top heavy - too many VPs, not enough worker bees (over-stressing the workers)
IT construct allowed for personal employee data to be leaked on the web in November 2014, something that will affect all former and current Sony Pictures employees for the rest of their lives

    Advice to Management

If no one's asking about layoffs, don't offer up that there will be "no layoffs" especially if there will be. You might not care about trust, but your employees do.

    Pros

Depending on the level at which you're hired, you can get full medical benefits and other perks like 401K and a discount at the employee store.

    Cons

As with most corporations, you're just a cog in the wheel. Silly decisions get made that often hurt the employees and lead to downsizing.

    Pros

Easy company to work for. As an intern, you get put to work immediately, learning hands-on. As a full-time employee, I had positive and helpful management pushing along the daily activities. Exployees get to watch free movies (first come first serve) in the small theatres on the Lot. As a bonus, there is Sony Store and a Pink Berry on site.

    Cons

Sometimes there are too few employees to do the job correctly, and tasks may fall behind.

    Advice to Management

Continue to treat employees as part of YOUR team, and they will want to contribute to it.

    Pros

They try to maintain a human connection here. There is an attempt of work life balance, fitness, sustainability, volunteerism, screenings, We have good managerial and administrative support.

    Cons

They haven't been making very good movies. Maybe that will change with Pascal gone.
When the hack happened the place seemed to be crawling with slimy whiners, while some were kicking butt and getting things fixed and elaborate work arounds, others joined in on class action lawsuits. Ick

    Advice to Management

Make better movies and career planning.
