    Pros

Best reasons to work here?? Sadly, in my case, I cannot list any. Yes, you get paid on time. Most of the time your basic skills just rot. People on bench are not allowed to mingle with the rest of the office staff, it is like a solitary confinement. The HR bargain for time-offs. Please make sure you write down everything in black and white as the HR has a tendency to lie.

    Cons

Once upon a time they hired people, as they got them for cheap. There was no work for 6 months. The workforce is mainly of managers, very few people who actually do the hard labour. So, they are under pressure all the time. No personal growth, absolutely no promotion unless you threaten to leave.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just wake up to reality. Look after your employees otherwise the only options left for you will be mergers.

    Pros

    Employee Friendly policies/Activities.
Gets Short Onsite(3weeks to 3 months) oppurtunity.
    Work Life balance.
No Bench concept, allocating new project to person is completely Resource Manager headache unlike other service companies.

    Cons

Mid level management like PM's are neither Technical nor completely Functional, they mentally harass you in that case.
    Appraisals are not too good.
Joining Hike is not handsome just market at level.
No Quality work or good technological projects.

I have been working at Sopra Group full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Open, positive place to work. Try hard to make work fun and interesting - ambitious organisation but does acquire a lot of organisations so lots of integration issues. Communication OK, as always could be better. Very nice people, nice offices and lots of social aspects as well as generally OK benefits.

    Cons

Salaries are OK, not at the higest end but other things compensate for this. Some people been with the company a long time and they can be more negative about change and complain about 'how its not like it used to be'.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better integration programmes - apart from that they do genuinely seem to want to make it a good desirable place to work.
