    no room for growth; the position you hire into is the one you will always have; they prefer to hire from the outside rather than promote from within

    Its all good at SAA where its really good and great and fun for all at SAA.

    It can be bad sometimes at SAA so sometimes its not really all good at SAA.

    Pros

    The only pro about this company is the benefits. If you are management you get better than average airline benefits. Business Class flights at 0 fare.

    Cons

    The company has the worst culture. High level corruption, politics and red tape kills prospects for any real career opportunity. You have got to be better at playing politics than you really need to be at what you are supposed to be doing. No performance based incentives or recognition - but there is a performance program but it links to nothing - just to keep face.

    Stop talking. Start doing.

    Pros

    Great team. Great destination to sell.

    Cons

    Staff all to ready to strike at the drop of a hat. Difficult to deal with Head Office from the outstations.

    Advice to Management

    Get over the politics. Focus on business priorities.
