Pros
Great benefits package. Generous Paid Time Off after work trial period. The Firm makes sure all employees get training and knowledge about every departments functions. Management has a good rapport with staff employees. The company does try to get employees involved with an activities and charities committee. Everyone is very down to earth and friendly with each other.
Cons
Little to no room for advancement, depending on your department. Though employees may know about every department, they rarely know what is HAPPENING in every department. Streamline to communication is sometimes a little off. For the size of the company, the shareholders run it well, but employees can have their gripes from time to time.
Advice to Senior Management
Communication is always the key. Sometimes there is too much delegation, but I believe management does a good job with work balance.
Pros
South & Associates offers a generous amount of paid time off, especially for attorneys and administrators. However you receive zero days of leave on your first year.
Cons
There is a huge communication problem between the staff, team leads, administrators, attorneys and shareholders at South & Associates. Many departments have no clue what is going on in other departments. Promotions are rare and not announced when they do happen (although just because you are promoted doesn't mean that you are trusted or the best person for the position). Salaries are also quite low compared to similar jobs, this is true across the board, staff, administrators, and attorneys.
Advice to Senior Management
My advice to the shareholders would be to TRUST each other. When everyone at the firm can see the lack of communication and trust among the shareholders, it really does a number on the overall moral of the organization.
