“Pleasant and educational”
Former Employee – worked at Southern Lithoplate
Pros – Family owned, family oriented. Not a publicly traded company.
Self- managed group.
Lean business model.
Profitable.
Profit sharing and bonuses for employees.
Pleasant working environment.
Cons – Family owned and operated.
The lean business model is in some cases too lean. The employees heaped with work and the salary compensation doesn't match the workload.
Communication down the chain is lacking and decision take too long to make.
Advice to Senior Management – Communicate information quickly to employees and to customers. Be more complete in the information given. When making a decision, stick to it rather than making changes week by week. Overall the experience was good, but a few changes wouldn't hurt.
