Southern Management Reviews
Pros – Provide you 10% discount of your rent if you rent the apartment from their communities
Cons – Many people seems busy but they did not work efficiently. Supervisors are demanding, giving a lot of unnecessary pressure. The company use very traditional way to manage their files.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
Pros – Everyone genuinely cares about you as a person. Everyone also genuinely cares about the future of the company- but doesn't have the best way of showing it or have the best methods. Generous flexibility with personal time. There is also a great culture of employee-initiatives being made into standard practice.
Cons – Vacation days for beginning employees are brutal: no vacation for a certain number of months, then under five for the first year. Management in the corporate office seems to be different from the off-site management.
Advice to Senior Management – Re-evaluate the off-site management and better train managers to handle conflict.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
Pros – There is paid vacation time and the option of a full 40 hour work week.
Cons – Management was more concerned with control than managing. Janitotial service always being understaffed remaining over comlicated.
Advice to Senior Management – Even management has roles and assignments that should be followed.
– I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
Pros – Middle management was great. Expectations at middle management were realistic and honestly there is some middle management that should be running the show rather than being micro managed by their upper management.
Cons – Project ADD.This company has no clear direction. One day I would be working on one project the next day they would cancel that project and have me working on something entirely differently. I was hired under a position title that I never even did the job for. There was confusion and misdirection and blame shifting from upper management every step of the way. I was fired at a moments notice for someone elses mistakes to cover them up. When interviewing for a position with this company ask for a chance to meet everyone in your chain of command before accepting the job, that would have saved me alot of trouble.
Advice to Senior Management – This advice would be to the CEO or CFO. Check the reputation of the companies you hire your upper management from. I found that someone came from a disreputable company with a very high turn over. Also, keep upper management from micromanaging those that middle management should be handling. You have good middle management that should be filling upper management positions.

Pros – the job is great if your in college
pay is okay, just as long as you dont intern
not a good place to intern, only because they make you do sales
the people are very nice
Cons – management can be very ahhhh
if your not a sales person then leasing is not for you
Advice to Senior Management – positive feedback is better then negative
Pros – Met some great people who provided opportunities to exercise adaptability
Cons – The management team could have been more proactive and organized with tenant concerns
Advice to Senior Management – Build a stronger team to ensure customers, guests and residents are satisfied
Pros – they have a great salary to start out. it gets better if your a manager of a branch. overall everyone works as a team. love the job
Cons – they have a weird bonus scheme for asst. mgr. its call chinese overtime. what it is really just the more you work the less your overtime is paid. for instance. you work 80 hours a week you have a salary of 800. that equals out to $10 a hr. but you work 96 hrs the whole week. they take a percentage of your overtime from the first and second week and come up with this crazy formula so the first week you had 9 overtime that pays at 5.45 hr. the second week your 7 hrs overtime is 4.85 hr. little weird
Advice to Senior Management – chinese overtime to the csr. not the assistant. why should the csr get time and a half?? the asst has more hanging over his head than csr. and alot more hours into collections and just being at the office. reward the asst. maybe not time and a half but this chinese overtime is just crazy!!!
