    Pros

Good mentor-ship from engineering managers for technical staff. Currently, the Tucson facility is doing really well financially. Lots of exciting products and projects to work on in engineering. Good work/life balance, and chances to interact with co-workers socially outside or work. Overall, very cohesive work group.

    Cons

Pay low compared to other high-tech corporations in Tucson. Cliques can seem to form, with hints of favoritism for promotions and key project staffing

    Advice to Management

    None

    Pros

Its pretty well established in the lasers industry but I'm not sure how it compares to working at the company that starts with a "C" and ends with a "oherent". The name might hold a certain level of cache in the optics/lasers industry if it shows up on your resume.

    Cons

The only way to advance yourself is to do your job real well and threaten to leave. Then they'll attempt to dissuade you from leaving by throwing more money at you. Most, if not all, the processes from the life cycle development to inventory management (and everything else in between) is royally f-ed up.

    Advice to Management

You need to fix most the business processes if you want to remain one of the relevant players in the lasers industry.
