    I worked at Spectrum Pharmaceuticals

    Pros

Good location and most of the people are nice. Not much else going for it.

    Cons

Exec management is untrustworthy and is only looking out for themselves.

    Pros

The company -- all of the staff from the CEO all the way through the organization -- are committed to do what's right for patients. And to doing what's right in general (eg, high ethical position). The company is fiscally conservative while still understanding that you have to spend money (wisely) to make money. The pay isn't what you might get at big pharma but you get all the benefits of working for a small company (no bureaucracy, quick & fact-based decision-making, etc.) with the security of a company that has a healthy revenue stream. Management truly care about the staff. The pipeline is excellent. The people are exceptional and the staff is highly diverse - unlike I've ever seen and I think that makes it a stronger and better place to work. Transparency is important and staff retention is a priority. Free breakfast / bring your dog to work on Friday is a fun thing.

    Cons

It's a virtual company so sometimes it feels hard to "own" the work. Telecommuting is not an option - reflective the CEO's philosophy that you need to be present to be effective -- and that might be a negative for some people (but not for me).

    Advice to Management

Continue to reward and value the hard-working staff who uphold the values and ideals of the company.

    Pros

Decent location in Orange County. Fridays are casual and you can bring your dog into work.

    Cons

Lack of processes companywide. Salary is on the low end, and the benefits are low to mid-range. Very few people stay here for very long, and they lose the knowledge and information they had.

    Advice to Management

Work harder to keep people here instead out touting the high turn over rate. Keep better records and maintain information and data from people who leave.

    Pros

The expense reporting recently was improved and now paid within a week. If you don't like senior management wait about 12 months. The CEO will put a new regime in to fix the declining product sales.

    Cons

CEO way too involved and very shrewd when it comes to giving any stock RSU/options or salary increases. CEO also couldn't tell you anything about how to sell the products company has. CEO likes to buy bottom feeder drugs no other company wants. They have no clue in how to sell and launch orphan drugs.

    Advice to Management

Sell the company for a tax inversion from the foreign country tax designations. Please don't follow me to my new oncology company and screw that one up as well.

    Cons

    Advice to Management

Instead of the show up with vegas party and all, the company should pay good for the employees for all the work
