Pros
Nice location in the city, beautiful views. The staff was fun to be around, as well as the manager. Decent salary and commision structure, 401K plan.
Cons
Way too much emphasis and pressure to produce sales, job is not for everyone. There was a lot of turnover during my time there, which also added to the stress of the position.
Advice to Senior Management
Offer more trainings for employees, to be able to put them more in a position to be successful, rather than burn out.
Pros
great clients, good time off, decent pay, good upper management, try to get employee opinions but haven't done anything with the feedback. overall okay company to work for.
Cons
lack of career advancement- stuck in same position for almost 5 years.
work becomes routine at times
bonus plans change yearly and are inconsistent
certain positions seem to do the brunt of the work in the branches but don't get the credit
no 401k match in two years
health insurance costs goes up every year
minimal raises
Advice to Senior Management
could listen to employees more
provide clear paths for career advancement and succession plans
provide raises based on how each office performs not how the company performs as a whole- some offices carry the under-performing offices but in the end everyone gets just about the same raise.
Pros
Hours and such are flexible. Health benefits exist when they don't transfer your insurance without notice. It's fine if you're desperate.
Cons
You're working through an agency so your take home pay and benefits reflect that. Communication with anyone with the company is pretty non-existent and trying to get answers to basic questions is like dealing with customer service for a cable company.
Advice to Senior Management
Fix your website. Give us some way to contact someone for answers to our questions. I don't really know. I think it's ultimately the nature of this kind of job, but I wouldn't recommend it.
Pros
I loved the job I was in. It was flexible, fast-paced, and a highly visible position. I enjoyed the people I worked with as well.
Cons
When the project was ended or near end, I was not notified in enough time to find other employment so it was a little frustrating.
Advice to Senior Management
Be more open with employees and try to follow up when promised about future assignments. Overall the company runs efficiently.
Pros
easy hiring, no experience nessesary, short interviews
Cons
no benefits, no long term or to perm, hard to contact admin dept.
Advice to Senior Management
offer better incentives to employees who worked over long period of time
Pros
Ability to work remotely. Various job responsibilities.
Cons
Limited growth potential. Limited ability to move from contract to associate level.
Pros
Spherion is very supportive in working virtually when necessary if you are a producer. Producers have a future. Non-producers, watch out, you will be gone. But isn't that what a public company is all about? Spherion is hungry for growth and is supporting people and growth in 2011!
Cons
Lack of communication between divisions can be painful. Lack of working together between business lines can be painful. No 401K matching going on two years.
Advice to Senior Management
Do what you say you are going to do. Stop micro-managing and entrust who you hire to do their jobs and if they don't hold them accountable.
Pros
national company, various locations, resources
Cons
disorganized, lots of change, intranet not easy to use
Advice to Senior Management
have an open town hall to listen to what your employees are seeking and need to hear about
Pros
Excellent growing company! Excited for the future!
Cons
Looking for continued growth within our individual roles!
Pros
SourceRight Solutions provides many opportunities for employees to work remotely while continuing to work in your experienced field.
Cons
SourceRight Solutions puts the horse before the cart. The account I was on was grossly mishandled and mismanaged. I believe that the company was so focused on "getting the account", that they did not handle the way they fulfilled the company's needs in a professional manner. They were more worried about getting enough people on the account, than having everything in place to support their recruiting efforts within the account. When they realized they were in trouble and not making money on the account, they started to back pedal. This is when the recruiters started to pay for the mismanagement of the account. We were told that we were "only hired as Consultants and not employees of Source Right Solutions" so that they could more easily lay us off due to the fact that they were not making money on the account. However, this is not the way it was laid out to us when we were first hired. Nowhere in my new hire paperwork did it say that we were of "consultant" status. Not sure what that was all about. We were also told that we would be moved to another account once our services were no longer needed with the account we were currently on. That wasn't an option until I had to bring it up, and then they started to look into it, but never came up with anything concrete. I could understand if I had performance issues, but I had a ton of good feedback from the client as well as 20 years of HR and recruiting experience!
A lot of training was provided up front regarding compliance of hiring issues; however, as time went on, the rules kept changing, and it was difficult to keep up with all of their compliance concerns. Most of the time, the compliance issues took more time than our actually recruiting efforts of getting people the jobs we were hired to recruit for.
Overall, this was a terrible experience, and agree with some of the other reviews, that it's a good filler job if you are between jobs--but KEEP LOOKING!
Advice to Senior Management
BE UP FRONT AND HONEST! HONESTY IS ALWAYS THE BEST POLICY.
