    I worked at SpinCore Technologies

    Pros

The pay is very good for the work you will be doing. The owner is very generous with salary and bonuses.

    Cons

The owner is a very poor manager. While he is truly a caring man, he does not know how to handle people. Expect to be berated for small mistakes and to often receive contradicting instructions. you will also be expected to learn almost everything on your own, as the owner generally feels training new employees is a waste of his time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have a more clear path of management. Train your employees. Don't worry about all the small details of how everyone conducts their job and focus on the bigger picture.

I worked at SpinCore Technologies part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Highly exposed to electronics and RF devices that you will not see in school.
There will be absolutely no place more horrifying to work than here. This job will prepare you mentally for any ridicule or chaotic environment you will encounter in your career.
You are an actual engineer here and not reporting to someone above you.
Very good opportunity to build your resume and move on to a more professional job.
    Decent Pay.
The only reason I'm giving this place 3 stars instead of -5 is because of the opportunities it will open for you.

    Cons

The owner is detrimental to the company and does not value his employees. Almost every one of his actions or thoughts are not logical in the least yet he is rooted in his ways. His organization skills are horrendous and any employee efforts to improve this are shut down. His business knowledge/decisions are equally as terrible. This company has a lot of potential, but the owner is driving it into the ground. The owner needs to leave this place and stop ruining it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Send the owner home and do not allow him at the facility! He destroys the company every day he comes to work. This would solve so many problems in the company but here are a few more things.
Software upgrades. (Don't go cheap on this, it's hurting the company)
Computer organization (Way way too many unused and outdated folders)
Company hierarchy/management needs to exist (currently none).
    Inventory organization.
    Real training.
Again I can not stress how much the owner needs to not be at the facility when people are working. He makes the whole company extremely inefficient and is hurting SpinCore.

I worked at SpinCore Technologies part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Very flexible schedule, free lunch. Your coworkers are very nice and understanding if you get frustrated on the job. Being the last one in the office can be very relaxing. Customers tend to be easy to work with as well.

    Cons

No training, learn everything as you go. Boss changes his mind on what he wants a lot. He gets very nit picky and stops seeing the big picture on projects. Poor graphic design choices in general around the office.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train your employees. If you want your employees to know more about the product, allow them time to learn it, or bring it home to study it. No one in the office fully understands how NMR works except the boss. The boss doesn't fully understand the programming behind the computer boards.

I worked at SpinCore Technologies part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Free lunch Fridays, flexible schedule, good coworkers, gain some experience.

    Cons

The "Boss" can't manage at all. Very hypocritical, changes his mind often, belittles employees, micromanages, nitpicks at inconsequential things. Expects a lot out of you and is extremely critical if you make a small "mistake". Always seems to convince himself that you have done something wrong.

Pay is extremely low for engineering work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire an actual manager. The less time you are there the better.
