    I worked at Spirit Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    If you like route driving with a 32' straight truck its your type of work.

    Cons

    Disorganized, most product is sent in barrels since its industrial product...gloves and raz pads..and things are put on top of each other in shipping. Management micro manages and keeps you GPSd so don't make unusual turns or you'll get documented. You'll NEVER get paid what you are worth.

    Advice to Management

    Try some hands on and figure things out

    Pros

    A job. But other then that it's a joke. No help from management to fix errors they created for your route

    Cons

    Joke of a company 12 hrs a day for $10 bucks. Slaving for peanuts

    Advice to Management

    Treat you're people better. Manger talks to people like dogs and expects to see results after talking to people like that.

    I worked at Spirit Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Difficult to say really. There were benefits (health, dental, etc) but they were far from cheap especially on the provided pay rates.

    Cons

    1. Management was really detached from the work force 2. Inhumane treatment of employees and downright dangerous working conditions 3. Poor pay / room for growth 4. Company not doing so well financially 5. Smells bad / not clean anywhere

    Advice to Management

    Improve workplace moral. Spend some time working with the lower level employees. Invest a nickel back into the facilities upkeep.

    Pros

    Occasionally if it was sunny you could look outside.

    Cons

    Call center mentality, micro-micro managed, made me send emails to my manager if I had to use the restroom or when into the break room. Undertone prejudice, upper management didn't care about employees. What's the word maximum here? Screwed up company. I can seriously say that any & all positive reviews here must have been written by management to make it look like a nice, decent, fulfilling place to work. Ha! Consider yourself forewarned.

    Treat your employees with RESPECT!

    Pros

    Not Much to be said here

    Cons

    Very poor at Communication Upper management likes to Micro Manage all activities Not a safe work environment No Increases in pay as you hear the story of how they almost went under but now making a lot and paying no bills or increases to their employees

    Advice to Management

    Let the management that you hire run the company and don't try to dictate everything that happens to a default

    Pros

    Good people to work with at the hourly level. Very diverse work force

    Cons

    Senior Management kept to themselves unless they needed to reprimand you Management thought they were "better" than those that worked for them in their attitudes and opinions. Way to much nepotism, favoritism and being part of "the club" amongst the owners and their select few to have a prayer of advancing (unless you were part of the club of course).

    Advice to Management

    If you're happy with where your company is in the market, change nothing. If you wish to move forward, increase market share and really be a well thought of company providing an outstanding service, you need to do a lot of things differently, starting with respecting the hourly worker and offering a fair and decent wage.
