Pros
The main reason to work here is the fact that you get great discounts on products that sport chalet sells. Also, if you are a student they are willing to work around your school schedule.
Cons
Management basically considers all the sales associates to be pawns. They don't really care about you as individuals, and consider anyone to be replaceable at anytime. If you want to work there full time be prepared to work 6-7 days a week, and get called on your days off, which would be more acceptable if they didn't pay between $10-12 an hour for regular full time employees. Also, they black out full months of the year where you are forbidden from taking a vacation, even though there is always another person who would have been willing and able to pick up your extra shifts.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop treating employees like they are not important. Stop cutting back on training hours, because without any training how do you expect people to keep considering your employees to be "experts"?
