I have been working at Sport Clips full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Guaranteed salary, flexible hours, not open late on weekends and closed holidays.

    Cons

Have a set dress code, you have a constant mantra (5 point play) that you have to repeat with everyone, and if it's not in the order that you were trained per corporate do it they peck and peck til you do it right. Can't sit anywhere in unless you're in the back...apparently it looks bad if gosh forbid a client walks in and sees us sitting between cuts. It's very robotic and stepford like.

    Advice to Management

As long as we do the our job professionally, the order of the 5 point play shouldn't matter and corporate should lighten up about it!

I have been working at Sport Clips full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They encourage you to provide an EXPERIENCE for the client instead of just "herding" them through like cattle. They provide extra training on specialized styles, new trendy haircuts, retail, excellent customer service. You are NEVER alone and there are always goals and rewards (plenty of recognition too) for a job well done. Pay can change every 2 weeks based on your performance but even if you just hit the "base" pay it is one of the highest base pays in our area. Very comfortable relaxed guy friendly atmosphere. No fuss, no drama. Comfortable work attire (not sloppy...comfortable!) that is "sporty" and professional. A CEO that CARES, a company that CARES. At Sport Clips you are NOT just a number, you are valued and they treat the clients the same...amazing

    Cons

The downside is that ,,,hmmm...nope...got nothing!

    Advice to Management

locations can vary on how they are run. It is all up to the manager. Treat others well, be honest with everything you do, always be willing to do what you expect your team to do, lead by example. I have met some AMAZING managers and I have also met some managers that need some motivation & education. If the owner of your store does not provide this...seek it for yourself or step aside for someone that will. Overall impression is that most stores have a very good management team and stylists can grow into those positions

    Pros

Great Atmosphere, Positive Support Team! You have a Coach for each area to help train the employees on the sport clips way, products, and what it means to be an employee for Sport Clips. You always have someone to go to if you have questions or concerns. Sport Clips runs on supporting your team members and not negativity.

    Cons

Sometimes I'm overworked, schedules are difficult to do, difficult clients and sometimes employees.
