    Pros

One of the best in clothing retail industry.
    Learn about customer service
Develop multitasking abilities as have to deal with both customers and closing up (and cleaning the large mess of clothes the customers are constantly making)
    Some co-workers helpful and amiable

    Cons

    Low pay
No actual training, only an induction for an hour
Says train-in-work but expects you to be super fast from the very first hour
Does not give the paid break which is in the contract, if questioned to the supervisor be ready to get low hours next week.
    0 hour contract
    Not all co-workers helpful
    Manager is hard to approach
    Biasness towards the employees
Suddenly changes your work department/section without discussing at all
Every week the shop floor clothing placement changes so for weekend workers have to learn where is this and that all over again

    Advice to Management

Better training, better manager selection, not selfish ones who never gives the legal (mentioned on the contract) break and instead shows their higher ups that they have done the required work with less people and less hours, so they can take higher bonus themselves.

The longer your there the more you do as you please.

    Cons

    Stupid rude customers
Supervisor are confused and don't know how to manage people
Management rude when you can't work
They like taking your time but not give you the days you request off

    Pros

there is only 1 pro to working at sports direct and that is the people and the fact you all feel the same

    Cons

    minimum wage
    zero hour contract
5 hour shift and no break
    no room for growth
    depressing feel to the company
called in to work for later the same day

    Advice to Management

treat your staff with more respect and give them contracts where they can have some stability in their income, also I'm pretty sure its illegal your break system and trading fro more than 6 hours on a sunday

    Pros

Excellent career advancement opportunities, great bonus incentives for full-time staff and excellent incentives for Casual staff.

    Cons

For some the zero hour contract poses a bit of an issue with respect to guaranteed hours, but for most it is very agreeable. Occasional unsociable hours.

    Advice to Management

Every store operates differently due to the individual qualities of different store managers. Some seem highly motivated and desire to be at work where others are simply coasting along held by the promise of untold wealth to come.

    Pros

Fun customers, lots to do, you not allowed to be seen standing around so you always keep busy , pays not bad, worked with a few good people, deliveries and stock take were always fun

    Cons

Time limits are not enough so you feel like its impossible, BFL sales are hard work but if you have banter with the customers then your more likely to sell, work load is a lot sometimes depending on how many people you have on shift and zero hour contracts, so you pretty much always on call

    Advice to Management

RECONSIDER ZERO HOUR CONTRACTS and my mind to you 'Store Managers'

    Pros

making friends with other staff and becoming a little family helping enthusiasm and motivation around the store

    Cons

lots of tasks to do in little amount of time! can be challenging sometimes

    Advice to Management

breaking down large tasks to prevent demotivation and discouragement of enthusiasm in the store which can reflect badly onto our customers giving them an unpleasant shopping experience

    Pros

    - Was working as a summer job. I was treated as well as other staff and offered a good amount of hours

    Cons

    - No parking arrangements for the store I was in so I spent quite a bit to park for work.

    Advice to Management

    - Subsidise or arrange parking

    Pros

Apart from meeting some good people and my boyfriend there are no pros.

    Cons

Worked like slaves, poor wage packet, the overtime is beyond ridiculous (a 5-8 shift would soon become a 5-10), management, well they can't manage!

    Advice to Management

Get some proper training, learn how to speak to members of staff and for god sake scrap BAGS FOR LIFE!
