    Stable

    Teacher (Former Employee)
    Spring, TX

ProsJobs are often stable..until Perry cuts Education funding

Conssome schools have longer hours than traditional schools...some of the population is not the easiest to work with. Upper mgmt at some schools lack competence.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop using your online degree as a way to prove that your qualified when you are clearly not

It was ok while I was there, but could have been better.

    Teacher (Former Employee)
    Houston, TX

ProsThere are a lot of good professional development opportunities that Sprind ISD offers. All of the staff that I worked with were very friendly and supportive.

ConsPeople are two faced. They are nice to your face, but turn around and talk about you behind your back. The administration tells you one thing, but doesn't follow through. They are not loyal to their current employees.

    Spring ISD

    Teacher (Current Employee)
    Houston, TX

ProsI worked with some of these most amazing and creative people.

ConsI felt teachers were not compensated for the HOURS they put in after school. Many of the wonderful people I worked with left to go to other districts. I also felt that standards in expectations from students and families had fallen.

Advice to Senior ManagementDemand that students do the work and pass to stay in advance courses. Expect parents to share in the responsibility of educating their children. Provide each school with the support they need (not all schools have the same needs) : counselors, nurses, asst. principals.

Spring ISD is not the worst school district, but certainly not the best, either.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsFor me, one of the best reasons to work for Spring ISD is the proximity to my home. There are adequate resources available for students.

ConsAdministration employees need to be more organized and efficient in handling employee matters. Decisions should be made according to quality of work not on who is liked or unliked.

Advice to Senior ManagementAdministration-be more organized and professional. Principals should stop having a clique-mentality.
