    Pros

Overall I've had great supervisors and coworkers

    Cons

They just laid off half of their tech force in retail locations. I don't think that was a good idea since our network is still being worked on.

    Advice to Management

Sometimes what corporate says isn't the same thing a district/area manager will tell us to do.

    Pros

Comfortable work environment, Co-operative and supportive colleagues, Sprint phones and other devices for trial.

    Cons

Sprint size has shrunk due to recent lay offs.

  6. Making a come back

I have been working at Sprint full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The people the work for Sprint are great. They're very dedicated and committed to making a difference.

    Cons

The company is going through a tough restructure and is having a hard time recovering. Upper management doesn't have a good track record of making good decisions nor sticking with them. The new owners in Japan might want to step in and provide proactive guidance and this will be the saving grace of Sprint. The new Japanese owners will make a profound impact to Sprint and make the company a great place to work.

    Advice to Management

Please work on the culture. The company could turn around and become a fantastic place to work. Benefits were okay but out-of-pocket expenses for healthcare became a big expense. Work-life balance always seems to be good.

    Pros

Not many good pros to state. This company was a go between until I found a good organization that paid me and allowed me to grow as an individual.

    Cons

They suck very bad. This company leaves people vomiting. They do not know how to be profitable. They are a 3rd world country telephone company who bleeds money.

    Pros

Innovative company, takes employee's ideas seriously, many of the worst managers & employees have been weeded out through the layoffs that occured post-Nextel merger.

    Cons

Growth and innovation can also mean growing pains, sometimes there are network pain points to have to explain repeatedly to customers and partners. Employee benefits have decreased over the years, but are still very compeitive.

    Advice to Management

Keep focusing on your employees as a crucial asset, benefits, vacation time, flex schedules, are all important in attracting and keeping the right people. I would like to see maternity leaves, and more flex time options for new/nursing mothers.
