Midwest Values, West Coast Money

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Sprint full-time for more than a year

ProsI appreciate working for a company that places as much value on the employee as it does the customer

ConsSprint is quick to make sweeping changes across the entire company, which often means significant layoffs. This is shortsighted thinking that should be changed.

Advice to Senior ManagementThere are more beneficial, creative ways of achieving operational budget goals than simply laying off employees and shuttering stores. It's effective over the short term, and helps the company meet its performance goals, but it's not beneficial.

Great place to work!

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at Sprint full-time

ProsSprint allows their account managers to run their own business and generally as long as you are doing well you are free to conduct your business in whatever way works for you.

ConsI did not see much chance for career advancement while working there. Management tends not to turn over, which says a lot about how much people enjoy working there, but when management does not leave there is little chance to move up in the company..

Mostly good, finally turing the corner.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Sprint full-time for more than 8 years

ProsWonderful people to work with. If you are willing to work for it there are great advancement opportunities but you need to be flexible about departments and locations

ConsThe past 5 years or so have been a roller coaster of little to no merit increases and lots of layoffs.

Advice to Senior ManagementHave a better understanding of work life balance for salaried employees. Also hold unproductive managers accountable rather than just leaning more on the better ones.

Excellent Company To Work For

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee)
Rio Rancho, NM

I worked at Sprint full-time for more than a year

ProsThe Sprint call center that I worked at was truly unbelievable. There was an exercise room with treadmills. There was a coffee bar, as well as a snack bar. Free coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the break room as well as a pool table, computers to check your email, ect. The atmosphere is laid back and it's a fun place to work. You will be expected to be at work on time, meet some easy sells goals by upselling merchandise. You can make very good commission on sales if you are friendly and loving working with customers.

ConsYou must be willing to realize that you are signed into your computer at the beginning of your shift with only a lunch or dinner break and two 15 minute breaks. If you are a person that likes to move around a lot at work, this is not a job for you.

Advice to Senior ManagementThink about having the commission payout upgraded temporarily to keep up with the economy
