Pros
Atonomy. My bosses were great to work with. My team was amazing!
Cons
When mass cuts are headed down the pipe...it does not matter who you are! Benefits were slashed to zilch!
Pros
Benefits are great and pay is good.
Cons
Schedule changes every week and you must be able to work all shifts.
Advice to Senior Management
The best managers in the companies are the ones that started from the bottom and moved their way up. You can tell that the others just don't understand what it is like in a store.
Pros
-Pay was good
-Benefits
-work/life balance
-good support as far as tools for accomplishing job
-Cell phone plans and discounts for employees
Cons
After the merger there was still what seemed to be a rift and confusion in corporate management.
It has been a few years now so mabye that has ironed itself out. I also had about 3 or 4 websites i had to enter daily work schedule into daily just to account for what i had done.
Pros
It is a fun atmosphere, I believe the company is really turning the corner to be successful once again. I would recommend it
Cons
Eventhough there have been no layoffs in 2011, there is still extreme cost cutting people are doing more with less.
Advice to Senior Management
Start hiring. Provide a clear path to career progression.
Pros
Relaxed Environment and flexible work schedule.
Cons
Retail Hours and working Holidays
Advice to Senior Management
Allow the employees that want to grow and get to promoted the possibility to.
Pros
Employee benefits cover most items despite rising rates
Free phone plan for employee and discounted for family
Quick vacation accrual
Work location flexibility; has embraced mobile
Cons
everything is now done under a microscope due to smaller budgets and more competition
Can be difficult to transition to new department/role
Advice to Senior Management
Good job at turning things around in the past 4 years and being able to stabilize without layoffs during the past 2.
I am proud to work for a company that favors Green initiatives.
Pros
-Great benefits
-Lots of paid time off
-Great pay :)
-Makes it easy to hit your sales goals
-Very understanding if your gonna be a new mother
-Get a lot of hours
Cons
-Customers are not very friendly at times
-Sales goals are tough at times
Advice to Senior Management
Keep it up :)
Pros
People, commission , location, hourly rate
Cons
stress , pressure, customers, traffic , phones
Advice to Senior Management
Be easy on sales reps, a lot of things are not our fault
Pros
Free Cell phone, no monthly bill. Discounted plans for friends and family. Other then that nothing really great about this place.
Cons
Having management with no degrees makes it real easy for them to promote friends/family instead of the truly deserving individuals. I had no intentions of making this job a career but felt bad for the one that truly were and were never given a shot to being promoted. I had great relationships with Managers so they really took care of me.
Advice to Senior Management
Make store managers and any positions above that degree required so you can filter the freebies that involve themselves in late night mingling to get promoted or family members. Nepotism is wild at Sprint.
Pros
Very flexible with work/life balance
Some decent mangers who are knowledgeable, but they are hard to find.
Allow to telecommute
Free phone for employees and nice cheap phone and plan for friends and family
Cons
Must buy your own office supplies
Huge amount of bureaucracy to get anything done
Lucky if you can get a raise (due to financial condition of the company)
Poor strategic decisions by upper managment means no cash.
Advice to Senior Management
Start to hold people accountable for their poor decisions. Getting rid of a bunch of non performing Sr guys was a great start. Need to get us back to profitability.
