Pros
Opportunities to grow, good work benefits and working environment.
Cons
Every year had layoffs in the company.
Pros
Good health benefits
Great employees
Promotional opportunities
The Sprint Campus is amazing
Onsite health club on campus
High pay compared to most KC companies
Cons
Long, long hours
Office politics
People promoted beyond their ability simply because of years of service
Still a "good ole boys" club
A lot of favoritism
Too much focus on cost cutting
Advice to Senior Management
Promote people based on skills and worth ethic, not on who they know
Stop the commercials with Dan Hesse; most people don't care about the CEO
Pros
Hometown Fortune Business. Beautiful campus. Campus amenities. On site doctors office, pharmacy, walgreens, multiple dining options, coffee shops, gym and locker rooms.
Cons
Fear of down sizing, too many senior executives, no budget, too many big debts, low merit increases (if any) for advancements or annual reviews.
Advice to Senior Management
Too many senior executives within Care organization create a poor customer and rep experience, driving extra operating cost with redundant positions and conflicting priorities.
Pros
Atonomy. My bosses were great to work with. My team was amazing!
Cons
When mass cuts are headed down the pipe...it does not matter who you are! Benefits were slashed to zilch!
Pros
Benefits are great and pay is good.
Cons
Schedule changes every week and you must be able to work all shifts.
Advice to Senior Management
The best managers in the companies are the ones that started from the bottom and moved their way up. You can tell that the others just don't understand what it is like in a store.
Pros
It is a fun atmosphere, I believe the company is really turning the corner to be successful once again. I would recommend it
Cons
Eventhough there have been no layoffs in 2011, there is still extreme cost cutting people are doing more with less.
Advice to Senior Management
Start hiring. Provide a clear path to career progression.
Pros
- Benefits
- Some good people
- Nice campus
Cons
- Limited growth opportunities
- Risk averse management
Advice to Senior Management
- It would be good to take some calculated risks
- Wireless is a rapid and ever changing dynamic world, and you need to be nimble to compete
Pros
Sprint was a fun and energetic place to work, I thoroughly enjoyed interacting with customers on a daily basis and doing my best to solve the problems with their phones. Sprint has great benefits.
Cons
the pay was not stellar, but the wide range of benefits do help. Middle management did not support front line employee's decisions.
Advice to Senior Management
Send your middle and front-line management to some leadership training! Listen to your front-line employees.
Pros
Compensation and Benefits are excellent when compared to other companies.
Cons
Unfortunately, Sprint has had a floundering strategy and a history rife with missed opportunities. Middle management also has little grasp of the broader picture.
Pros
Days of innovation and creativity have returned!
Cons
Constant fear of downsizing. Fear-based behaviors seen in employees.
