    Pros

Collaborative and supportive culture. Good pay and benefits including major medical, dental, vision, stock purchase and onsite gym access. Company supports good work-life balance.

    Cons

Advancement to executive level is limited without executive sponsorship. Company has 401k match but could be a higher % match. Multiple layoffs have recently impacted morale in some areas of the company.

Former Employee - Network Operations Engineer in Reston, VA

I worked at Sprint full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Great co-workers, Good Benefits including time off, free cell phone, paid lunch in network operations.

    Cons

Always trying to be first when they are last in the Wireless industry... Example... They wanted to get out front with 4G service, so they chose Wimax when Verizon & AT&T later chose to go with the industry standard LTE, then had to install the tower equipment twice costing millions to billions of dollars.

Management tries to fear employees into working harder instead of empowering them & providing promotions to those who go out of their way to improve their career path with certifications/education.

I worked at Sprint full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexibility and the great people that work there are the best things about the position.

    Cons

Low base salary, non generous commission structure make it difficult to make a higher end living.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on using monies to allow your sales rep to compete with competitors by allowing them to spend some money on clients to cultivate relationships. To have to get president approval for a flight to visit a customer is unheard of in a sales environment. Who will do business with you if you can't even afford to seem them in person?
