I have been working at Sprint full-time

    Pros

Good company lots of opportunities to make extra money via commission of the store. Free cellular service for yourself and very large discounts for friends and families.

    Cons

Upper management is increasing sales targets higher and higher and not considering that the network needs more improvement before those numbers can be obtained. The high sales goals are hurting all employees pay checks and this creates disdain between them and the company.

    Advice to Management

Lower goals to a more responsible amount for the product being offered. Focus on one task and see it thru with all of the companies efforts until its complete. Complete the network upgrades quicker then sales goals could increase because customers would rush to Sprint. Also Store Management literally handles everything offer us better pay because the competitors pay they managers better.

I have been working at Sprint (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great work/life balance, empowered to make decisions and no micro- management.

    Cons

Stressful due to so many layoffs. Upper management making these decisions without realizing impact to the rest of the business. Contractors making decisions that waste a LOT of money on projects! (not visible to upper execs)

    Advice to Management

We have enough Chief officers! Focus on the individual contributors.

I have been working at Sprint full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I've had Sprint as my cell provider for over 10 years and have been impressed with the direction they have gone. I work with a group of great guys that are both professional and very efficient. Management has been a pleasure to work with to date.

    Cons

Pay rate is lower than what I am used to getting. We do get compensated with commission once a month which helps.

    Advice to Management

We used to have to attend a meeting every Saturday that was at a location roughly 15-20 miles away. They have since stopped these when the District Manager was moved into a different position

I have been working at Sprint full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great pay and bonus structure, good advancement opportunities, awesome benefits including health care and free phone service. Employees are usually good to work with and a lot of friendly competition.

    Cons

Upper management lacks direction sometimes, seems to be a high turn over rate in my store. Also the service is not everywhere so when I leave my covered area I am not covered. Lots of work little balance. Retail schedule.

    Advice to Management

Management should be more proactive and engaging. By being engaged with your employees and sales force you are constantly pushing them to exceed goals and excel in over all performance on the job.

I have been working at Sprint full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours Paid Time Off Fair Pay Opportunity for Advancement Benefits including vision dental life health and 401k with matching contributions

    Cons

Sometimes quotas can be a tad high for the store and that can be stressful. Should not take a blanket approach regarding quotas to all stores some stores do have slower traffic

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. You could let reps have some input on setting quotas to meet somewhere in the middle
