I worked at Sprint full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Competative environment
    Above average benefits
    Above average pay
Ability to almost double annual salary with metric driven incentives (3k/month possible)

    Cons

every second of your day is recorded or monitored by management
strict and confusing "point" system for time and attendance
Company beliefs. --- you know how hard it is to tell a customer that you are a top tier CSR and in the same statement tell them that you are unable to simply activate a phone? forcing customer to go to store. not good strategy.

there was a reason that they were given customer service awards in the past recent years, don't expect any awards now. when the customers call fort help half the time I have to tell them that I can't help them and that they need to go to a store.

I worked at Sprint (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Ability to learn about new wireless products and stay abreast of technological trends.

    Cons

Most desirable and growth potential jobs are available at the corporate office location.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

At the time of my last employment, Soft Bank had recently become the "new management force". I've heard many changes have been implemented and business processes have changed. With that, I'm unable to give a personal statement.

I worked at Sprint full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good coworkers (although this varies from department to department, of course), great benefits, decent pay.

    Cons

    The constant threat of layoffs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Maybe instead of laying off people who know their jobs and hiring contractors who don't know anything about the industry, keep the people who know how to do the work. <shrug> It's so crazy, it just might work!

I have been working at Sprint full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Flexible work schedules, committed people, opportunity to advance. Sprint has been a great place to build my career and has provided opportunities to many of my co-workers. It's not uncommon to work alongside someone who joined the company working in the mail room, climbing towers, etc.

    Cons

Changes in senior level management, constant churn in Marketing, company not positioned well in telecom industry

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide guidance to remaining employees on viability of OP headquarters

    Pros

Great benefits, lots of training options, flexible working locations.

    Cons

Hard to move up without executive sponsorship, still going through changes at the top.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on lines of business that generate revenue, focus on helping business customers grow their business instead of sticking with "good old boy" club.
