I worked at Sprint full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Plenty of opportunities to be at the table, sharing ideas with your VPs and executives. The teams I worked with were always hard-working, smart and team players.

    Cons

Sprint's challenges to gain and keep customers. It's not always easy being 3rd or 4th place, at some point you want to win.

    Advice to Management

Always be transparent with your employees on the long-term outlook (3-5 yrs). Are we meeting expectations of the shareholders and Softbank?

I worked at Sprint (More than a year)

    Pros

Company is making great improvements to the network I am one of Sprints biggest fans and supporters and a longtime customer

    Cons

Contracts are only for a 3 month period at a time Hard to gain any stability in your life with that

    Advice to Management

Keep or make more contractors employees after they have shown they have learned and have the skills Causes to much loss of experience in the organization. And knowledge within the organization overall. And give me an opportunity to be re employed by Sprint

I have been working at Sprint full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The company is frequently looking and hiring new talent for a variety of positions. There is more of a focus on diversity within the company. Sprint has been recognized as a top employer of veterans, offers mentoring programs within various divisions. The company is focused on growing the face of the company to more effectively represent the face of America.

    Cons

Within the company there is still a glass ceiling for minorities. Working outside of Kansas City can make it challenging to network and connect with managers/directors who are the decision makers for promotional opportunities. Some of the decision makers are more reactive than proactive in instituting policy/process changes.

I worked at Sprint full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Quality, high-achieving, passionate people. Potential for growth in many areas of the company. Sprint Campus in excellent location. Work is usually related to cutting-edge, exciting things.

    Cons

Since the economy tanked, employees cannot get simple office supplies like notepads or pens. Yearly reviews aren't always in alignment with its corresponding compensation. The few bad apples aren't weeded out and really hurt those who are striving for excellence. Work/Life balance nearly impossible to achieve/maintain. Most people in my org were completely overworked.

    Advice to Management

Properly promote and compensate those who are truly making an impact and weed out those who aren't. It makes great people leave. Also, when an employee shows potential to do more, don't pigeonhole them into a spot. Give opportunities when they present themselves. Recognize when your employees are overworked and hire more people to match the amount of hours being worked or just simply do less.

    Pros

Easy Work if you like technology and don't mind getting rejected in sales.

    Cons

hard to hit numbers when you don't try.

    Advice to Management

management doesn't work as hard as a sales Representative, so its some times feel unfair when you hustling to hit numbers and management sits on their behind all day and point the finger.
