    Pros

Great benefits and salary. Also great work environment. Love the STI plan too.

    Cons

too many lay offs. Occur too often which causes anxiety and fear. Need to keep long time committed employees dedicated to Sprint success.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

keep stable longtime employees that are dedicated to Sprint success. Older workers can be of benefit if they are driven, dedicated employees.

Sprint has unrealistic hopes for its quality of service, therefore it is difficult to work with customer disputes.

I worked at Sprint full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

There are very specific support teams within Sprint to support all channels of customer needs. This allows for the best resources such as training and knowledgeable sales management to sell into small to medium businesses. Since Nextel was primarily supported by corporate level accounts, this culture has transferred to Sprint in a modern and constantly evolving way. The new branding of Sprint is fresh and its aggressive promotions when compared to the postpaid competition makes it easier to acquire new customers and successfully drive more traffic for existing customers interested in learning more of what the fresher looking Sprint now has to offer.

    Cons

The most disappointing voice and data service among the major postpaid carriers. Goals of planned growth of network is often off target and delayed. Throughout 2014, Sprint has deployed and retracted several sets of rate plans and equipment pricing options which causes confusion with customers and agents. Although the aggressive offers of Sprint, the taxes, surcharges and upgrade fees are substantially greater than the other postpaid carriers, to the effect that a direct comparison makes Sprint appear shady in this practice. These fees when raised as an issue with customer care, is difficult for an irate customer feeling "bamboozled' to get calmed down with an appropriate solution.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The continued education of methods in sales and management is impressive because of the personal way you're treated regardless of experience. There is a very friendly, personal and family type of feeling beginning at the new hire training. This does translate well through the entire company so conveying this as management is a must. Sprint is set aside from the bigger companies for this reason, because customers that come into the Sprint store should feel as though they're coming over to a friend's house. There is a certain career ladder available, yet Sprint has been a roller coaster in terms of customer churn and future growth mostly related to choices in network technology and methods of expansion.

    Pros

Learning all the new devices way ahead of time.

    Cons

    Staff.
After a good associate develops, they keep transfering to other stores.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep employees in one place, rather than switching them out every so often.

I have been working at Sprint full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

A great opportunity to work for a Fortune 500 company that once was a leader in the telecommunications industry.

    Cons

The previous CEO's focus was on selling the company or merging with another company - T-Mobile being the most recent attempt. The current CEO is focused on reducing the size of the company while leveraging the expertise of SoftBank personnel to keep the company competitive.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please start caring about the employees who work so hard to make the company successful.

I worked at Sprint as a contractor (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Sprint tries, really they do. And they have made progress. They have some excellent people who do great work. They are very good at measuring performance and setting goals now, which is important, and their quality has improved in Customer Care, Sales Support, and many other areas.

    Cons

Verizon and AT&T are just too strong. Sprint could not keep up with their network and had many dropped calls and poor data speeds. The unlimited plans just filled up the towers, so no one could get a good connection. The result was upset customers who did not trust us.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find a niche and stick to it. Or if you really want to compete with AT&T and Verizon, fix the network.

    Pros

Most employees were professional and great to work with.

    Cons

Constant changes resulting in mass layoffs. A lot of exceptional talent was laid off.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get network "enhancements" 4G/LTE in place.

I have been working at Sprint full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Aside from some of the nice people I had a chance to work with, there is little else to list here.

    Cons

Misled and promised many things that never came to fruition. HR greeted me with an offer below what management stated they requested and it was only the tip of the iceberg. One of the worst experiences in my professional career.

    I worked at Sprint

    Pros

Good pay if your a closer and know how to sell. Just make sure you sell accessories along with the phones you sell, or else you will not be successful at all. Keep your customers happy and always get good survey results, cuz it helps your pay.

    Cons

Long hours standing on slow days. Hard to get requested time off.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Less quotas and demands with better management, maybe there wouldn't be so much turnover.
