I worked at St. Agnes HealthCare full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Biweekly pay, free lunch most days

    Cons

Do many jobs but only get paid for one, incompetent management, high school environment, low hourly rate, high turnover rate, treated like scum and the list goes on

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get better educated people to run your healthcare offices because most of the ones in charge will run your practices into the ground. They have no clue what to do in many situations regardless of how many years they may have held their positions or how repetitive the situations are.

I have been working at St. Agnes HealthCare full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

My department is great. I have a great manager and great co-workers.

    Cons

Ascension health took over and our PTO time was slashed in half. Uniforms are now mandated. We have old outdated equipment. When something breaks, it's months before it's replaced. No one has gotten a cost of living raise for years!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Treat the employees better!

I worked at St. Agnes HealthCare full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The people working on the front line are generally very good people who honestly care about helping others.

    Cons

Management is extremely passive in the day to day operations of the hospital. They are so concerned about making sure that the patient is always right that they neglect the human capital that works at thwarting hospital.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make REAL changes that foster a team environment.

I worked at St. Agnes HealthCare full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Really good compensation and benefits package. Great work environment. Totally agree with their mission and vision for the company.

    Cons

Pay scale for nursing support staff and administrative employees are not up to par. Very high turnover rate in their satellite outpatient centers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Instead of sitting in orientation class for a day discussing things that should be discussed during the hiring process, I think that vigorous training should be offered to all incoming employees for computer usage and customer service .
