I have been working at St. Elizabeth Medical Center full-time

    Pros

St. Elizabeth hospital is a small facility and makes new employees feel more welcome.

    Cons

Due to the hospital being a small facility, there are "clicks" as far as staff and management are concerned. Therefore, it seems like "the good ole buddy system" when punishments or write ups are handed out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There needs to be a different system for write ups...when one or more employees make a complaint against an employee, management should hear both sides before any actions are taken.

    Pros

Its easy to get a job in hmhp because they have the turnover rate equivilent to how many plastic surgeries dolly parton has had.

    Cons

Dirty and underpaid. Lab employees are severely underpaid as the lowest in ohio.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get out. Move far away!

    Pros

This is a great place to learn some basic skills in dietary and elderly care. IT is definitely a great environment for anybody.

    Cons

Sometimes the environment can be a little unsanitary and gross. Other employees may work long hours and get very grouchy and rude.

I have been working at St. Elizabeth Medical Center part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Friendly staff. The department managers are good people to work for but are completely incapacitated by upper management.

    Cons

Constant focus on cost cutting. Job security threats are a constant source of concern. Staff is sent home constantly to cut costs.

I worked at St. Elizabeth Medical Center full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Most departments run like a well oiled machine, not a lot of turnover. Pump rooms for new mothers, no bathroom pumping here! Management was willing to work with family needs and emergencies.

    Cons

The usual workplace drama. Some higher ups are slower to implement changes as they happen in the sterile processing field, leaving staff without exact guidelines. Insurance did not cover birth control(not a huge deal but notable)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

stop rewarding people for mediocre job performance

I have been working at St. Elizabeth Medical Center full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

There are some great people here.

    Cons

Too focused on making a profit. Often patient and employee has their hands tied because treatment conflicts with a religious value.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You cannot say you are a "Christian" company then chase the dollar signs.
