    Pros

Great staff, always willing to help, flexible hours, many graduates have the opportunity to start a full time job there after graduation

    Cons

Working with other student workers who don't give the same amount of time and effort to their duties, cleaning up their messes while they do half the work, they are not reprimanded and still get paid for it.

    Advice to Management

Acknowledge the amount of work student workers put into their job

    Pros

They have very flexible hours and plenty of vacation days since it is an academic institution. It surrounded by a variety of eateries so lunch is always something new and exciting. They have a very friendly staff and student body.

    Cons

There is not much of any cons that I can currently think of. The only thing I can think of is that the work can be tedious but I guess thats the nature of any desk job.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

    Pros

Some of the people are very nice. Brooklyn (Red Hook!) is a happening town. It's easy to get public transportation from here to anywhere.

    Cons

Too much emphasis on Catholicism for me, and I'm Catholic. The cafeteria has more pictures of saints and crosses and Italian churches than it should. Why would anyone want to eat there? Upper management seems to think it's still 1968. Student recruitment ideas are stagnant; enrollment is down, development can't come up with more fund raising ideas than to put the hit on the staff. Money it tight. Tuition driven schools are in trouble when student numbers drop; and the numbers continue to decline. Staffing numbers are dwindling. People leave and are not replaced, their tasks are passed along to the remaining, already over-worked folks who remain. Competent staff stay for a few years, get experience and move along to a better paying position.

    Advice to Management

Refocus on the liberal arts. Forget business, management and all the "flavor of the month" entrepreneurial nonsense. Find an academic to be the new president. Find academics - with deep pockets - to join the Board. Do away with rampant pay inequality. Pay raises for everyone, so they earn what they deserve. (You pay too much to the top five VPs of Froo-Froo La-De-Da..) Stop being so self-righteous, arrogant and myopic.

    Pros

Opportunities to learn many different areas of field

    Cons

No opportunity for growth, low pay compared to many similar college in the area, little long-term strategic vision

    Advice to Management

Recognize your employees for their service, provide opportunities for career advancement and equal pay to maintain even a basic standard of living in the NYC area.

    Pros

SFC is a small college in a big city. The staff and administrators are very nice. This is a nice place to work. Relatively stress free. Promotional opportunities.

    Cons

I do not have any real "cons" other than to say that any college or university position is sometimes unpredictable in what you can expect. Students change, courses change.
